    EWR Transportation Options?

Last I remember the air train to Manhattan was pretty cheap. The time in Manhattan...not so much. Enjoy!

    Stealth Age 67 to 70

missed that too but I have gotten pretty good at speed reading all the blastmail "nothing new, and the TA will take time" emails that I might have glossed over that nugget. And I seriously doubt it's the regional guys.

Some UAL/CAL News (For Those Interested)

I usually check out an FI thread by reading the OP, then skip to the last page and see how everything turned out. It's funny how off-topic we can get and how quickly as well. I love lamp.

Airbus is going to built where......Wait for it...

It's Galt. Did you make it to the end of that one? Ayn Rand = Verbosity > Content. I thought the book stunk. Its not entertaining. Its hard to read through. It encapsulates a simplistic uber-conservative mindset and portrays the protaganists (who of course feel that way) as the saviors of...

REALLY BAD news for DCI XJ&9E

This!! Maybe its time to start a small "regional" airline operating to small cities in the Upper MW.

CAL Recall Bid - Any Bets?

I have to agree. Flat bid with reductions in CLE and GUM and a small increase in ewr737 in order to make cummuting easier for everyone. The last part was sarcasm if you couldn't tell.

    CAL Junior manning!

ON PAPER...As a result the furlough mitigation measures went away. Any furloughed fellas get a call yet? ...Didn't think so.

    Continental recalling some furloughed pilots

I might have to agree with the generalities of Mr. Lee. Still good news though. Lets not piss on the campfire.

    CAL United merger -new name

    THIS!!!
  10. P

Bottom of the list of CAL

That list is meaningless. Somebody with some time on their hands and a "Jump to Conclusions Mat" came up with that. I don't even think the fella who came up with it is a CAL or UAL pilot. Just speculation. My advice is to follow the Union emails and stay away from the msg boards if this...

Bottom of the list of CAL

Was that you on the marriot-training center van? I heard the same exact thing. Cautious optimism tells me that I have heard recall rumors before but I so want that to be true for the furloughed guys.

    Renewed Recall rumors at CAL

I would have to agree that the vrf offering this June is much smaller (fewer BES are offered) than I have seen in recent memory. Consider the pot stirred some more. I have some good friends out on furlough and I have high hopes for them.

    Renewed Recall rumors at CAL

Short term VRF for June? ...consider the pot stirred.

I heard we are gonna get PBS. I hear its gonna be great.

    Rumor: Alaska eyeing US Airways

This thread made me throw up in my mouth a little.

    Volcano got ya down?

Food borne illness and viral outbreak seems to have vexed the cruise ship industry in recent years. Nothing like a quarantine to ruin your vacation.

Crazy pilots are allowed to fly now

Now if we could only use afrin.
  18. P

United and CAL SLI for furloughed pilots

I propose that instead of posting another remark regarding a merger you go grab a shot of booze or down a beer instead. I got a head start on ya.

Volcanic Ash Closes Down Air Traffic in North Europe

In related news: US Congress is expected to bring about legislation that calls for taxation of airlines if volcanic activity causes extended delays or cancellations.
