I think the fingerprints for the FBI background check will go back 10 years, and will show an arrest on record. It may not show what he was arrested for but it may only show the arrest and that in itself will raise questions. Just be honest!

You will make more at the fracs and your quality of life while on the road will be exponentially better. Also, The majority of those here that have flown airlines will not go back.
I would Add about 1.5 - 2 hours to that estimate. The times that I have made the flight, we fly at FL450 and .78 and it is around 5.5 hours going westbound.
Flex - 3 vacation periods after 3 years,
4 vacation periods after 10 years
CS - I think someone posted 3 vacations after 10
years, not sure.
Flex pay - Based on 202 days year.
CS - Based on 182 days.
Flex trips - 4,5,6,7(not very many available) days on.
CS - 7 days...
I wouldn't worry about sim prep.
I think if you have MS flight simulator, then that would be sufficient. You will do fine as long as you don't crash the sim.
