It's only a 4 hour flight from SFO. How much fuel will the LR CR2 hold? No seats would make it lighter for the burn, but the backpacks and Ipod weight might be a wash! And if the IPOD had 4 hours worth of music loaded, then they may have been overweight!

I would Add about 1.5 - 2 hours to that estimate. The times that I have made the flight, we fly at FL450 and .78 and it is around 5.5 hours going westbound.
