The future of Comair? Shut down???

Obviously Comair would not immediately shut down with a merger, but unless some miracle plan evolved like escaping Delta or being able to bid on other flying not involving 50s, Comair will close the doors within a few years. Delta and the Kremlin have completely ruined what was once a proud and...

DCI and Brad Holt in MGM

I have been to the gorge and it's a lovely place to hike. I have also kayaked the Chatooga but I never saw any of them folk from the movie thank God. Anyway to stay true to thread, DB is a useless POS I hope he has fun dictating the livelihood of his former constituents.

    Comair Cuts

How many aircraft were on property before Fred showed up? Somewhere between 175 and 190? Exit bankruptcy with 135 or so, now cut to 114. What a slow dying and sinking ship. Fortunately people are taking the rafts and paddling away.

    Bend Over C.O.M.A.I.R!

Does any company want any 3000 Sic FO's? Didn't think so. Three options, buy ATP and leave, wait for upgrade that will never happen, or opt out of flying all together. Yeay what a choice. While all my CFI classmates, that went elsewhere, have Major jobs. Guess it's survival of the smartest, or...

    Bend Over C.O.M.A.I.R!

Please verify, when does this occur? I think I have a scheduled deadhead on Big Sky in Jan.

    Bend Over C.O.M.A.I.R!

Just like any airline, there are numerous pricks out there that think their s*&t don't stink. They probably thought you were Freedom. Just ignore them. But to get back on topic. To respond to your comment Jockey. There are way too many guys aged 35-50 that have convinced themselves that...

Comair Facing Reduced Flying With Delta

General, what you don't get is that the Comair strike was not about you, not about Delta or any mainline carrier. It was about a group of pilots trying to do better for themselves under an oppressive management. Delta screwed themselves by buying Comair, Comair was screwed by being bought Delta...

Comair Facing Reduced Flying With Delta

Any aspiring shiny jet Fo's please apply to Comair soon. Seniority number 500-1200 will soon be gone, if any of them have any sense. Upgrades will be available in 09 once the expenses are cut. Good luck.

has the bleeding stopped at Comair?

beat me to it. One day someone will want us.

has the bleeding stopped at Comair?

at least you get the ATP paid for and then you can move on otherwise it's out of pocket. Unfortunately too many places are requiring an ATP when there are four to five thousand hour FOs out with no PIC.

    Comair's Fate

Here's a question? Fred was head of DCI and came to Comair to fix the broken CVG DCI carrier after the Christmas meltdown. He left after not meeting expectations and Bornhorst resided over the bankruptcy hammer-down. Then Bornhorst goes to be head of DCI. What kind of dog and pony show is going...

    CRJ-200 useful life?

Flew 7013 8 hours today and was a treat (35000+ hours). Find lots of issues with 7100-7300 aircraft, the bushings crack a lot among many other things. 7013, good packs, not a creak, flew straight as an arrow.

    continental jumpseat

This happens to me all the time. They look at me with a weird face and say there is no reciprocal agreement, when I've talked to numerous CAL guys to make sure we did. Someone told me to put your code over the CO. Is it that simple Dickensheets? I will be asking for a ride tomorrow and will try...

    Troubles jumpseating on XJet

Question: if it is a CAL gate agent and it's a CAL or Expressjet flight, I've also heard them say numerous times that no agreement exists, when we know it does. Is there still a problem with them overlaying the airline code and employee number on the screen template? Someone told me you have to...

    Mercury?

Well I did a search to see if I'm the first jack@$$ to ask this and didn't see anything so...when did Shuttle America start calling themselves Mercury and why are you guys going by both? Now you have Shuttlecraft, Mercury, Brickyard, and Chautauqua call signs all under one roof? I heard...

Calling 'other' regionals "Cancer" -- RIIIIIGHT

Hauy! T-Hawk go buy some hot dogs! Whenever I feel down and picked on by people who think they're better than me, I eat hot dogs instead of complaining. Holy Cow!

Will Comair's 700/900's go Senior or Junior

So nice of you to say considering you know nothing about me. I won't pass judgment on you in the same manner. That is completely what I meant and agree with. Every line pilot that pays their 1.95%, should be included in the claim.
