Mesa Upgrade
Pretty sure once you take the upgrade in the 1900 you can't go to the jet. It's not even an option. -

I did it all the time. Of course, it's in our contract... The only time I can think of if it would effect you, is if you make a stink about it. Play nice, schedulers are just doing their job. -

You're funny. This guy wasn't complaining, he was making it out like his life was hell on earth. If it is that bad (working 6 days/week every week) I would just quit. Mesa 1900 flying
with your time you'll probably upgrade in 6-10 months. Might want to keep that in mind. P.S. 12 days off sounds like a lot, but it ain't. Here the minimum per contract is 12 days off and it ain't fun if you happen to get those lines (or reserve) even for a non-commuter. You'd be better off... -

OK I know you're bitter but don't over embellish. As a just-turned second year FO at a small regional I have NEVER had a 6 day ordeal, once a 5-day but it was due to a mechanical. On reserve I certainly never felt "abused" - you are there to "fill-in" when the company needs you to. It's your... -

ASA pilots preparing for possible strike
I wish the press would stop just quoting hourly rates. I know they do it for the "shock factor" but $71/hr is $64k/yr. I also wish they would quote the FO's payrates. There would be some "shock factor" in that for sure. 1st year pay is what, $17k/yr @ min guarantee? -

Cape Air isn't even in the same class as the current crop of carriers known as "regionals" these days. They fly for themselves, they're not a subcontractor.
