I don't agree with any exceptions to the new proposal. That goes for both university puppy mills and military flyers. An ATP and 1500 hours is not an unreasonable requirement regardless of background.
That's not a fact. It's just your opinion.
BTW, JBPA was in fact available on the ballot. All you had to do was vote yes and write in JBPA. If all the alleged anti-ALPA voters had done that the JBPA would now be our bargaining agent. The truth is they didn't do that even though it was an...
Instead of this zippy little retort why don't you address the brief description he gave about the rejected proposal. If it is as described there's no way anybody would agree to that. Is it an accurate description?
They ain't gonna do squat. Why should they? Almost 1200 of my peers said they were good with the way things were. There were no promises made this time. They simply begged us to vote 'no' and we did. We'll get nothing. Frankly, we deserve nothing.
...former regional pilot and a member of the JAOC. To say that I'm pissed at the moment would be a huge understatement. What a bunch of gutless mother ********************ers my coworkers are. The company didn't even have to promise anything this time. So guess what you're going to get for your...
If your profile is correct at 1100 hours I would take the Citation gig if it met three criteria.
A. The money is enough for what your needs are.
B. They type you and you will be logging turbine PIC time.
C. Upgrade at your current job is at least three years away.
Pros of taking the job...
Despite my smartassed comment above this pretty much sums it up. My wife was glad she attended but mainly because she got to spend a couple more days with me before training started in earnest. If she can get to MCO without a lot of cost or hassle go ahead and bring her. Otherwise just forget...
LOCAL is the key word in all of this. ALPA National was not involved and yet they have assumed the responsibility and liability for the decisions of the LOCAL MEC. In essence the power and weight of ALPA National protected the MEC from personal liability. It also protected UAL because if the MEC...
Blue Dude is correct. My PEA only lists A320 and E190. I won't fly a 318/319/321 or a 170/175/195 unless I have an ammendment to my PEA with rates for those aircraft. Hopefully in the very near future I'll be able to reference my copy of the CBA in excatly the same manner.
The July target line value for all FO seats except JFK190 is between 85 and 88 hours. Do the math. Most line holders will be working at least 16 days a month regardless of seniority. I bid pretty senior in my seat (top 20%) and I'm only getting about 14-15 days off per month bidding MINIMUM line...
What?!?
You guys are getting carried away with this stuff. The topic includes a foreign carrier, a major, a regional, domestic ops, safety, etc, etc and it's a big news story involving aviation and JFK. Why would you move it just because it has the words "Air France" in it? Use some common sense.
