I don't think Airnet bases anything in PHL anymore. I've been out of there for a year now but when I left all the Philly flying was handled by other bases (mostly TEB).
Not officially but the rumor mill has more or less said what is closing. In the end it doesn't really matter whether your run is closing or not because after tomorrow (when the bid sheet comes out)they're all up for grabs. From the sound of things even if run xxx exists in number after the...
You will be reimbursed for everything directly associated with moving (U-haul, boxes, milage, etc). I've heard of people using moving companies and getting reimbursed but I'm not sure whether it was in full or not. You submit an estimate before you move along with your reciepts after you're...
You can SIC in BDL. Either of the two runs there can be a Baron on any given night. Right now you could pretty much be guarunteed having BDL as a PIC when you upgrade too. PM me with any other Qs.
Quest Diagnostics is based in Reading, PA. It's all part 91 flying lab samples. I'm not sure if they base pilots in places other than Reading. Check their website, they seem to hire fairly regularly.
I think Newark's SDF was decomissioned. There is still one at Ashland, KY if you want to go that far south. (Just accross the Ohio River, near Huntington). As for the LDA, the closest one I know of outside of CLE is Roanoke, VA.
Talked to Marilynn this afternoon to ask about keeping resumes updated; she said no need unless there were drastic changes. They aren't pulling resumes until they're ready to make calls for interviews. There's a class in training right now as well as a hiring pool. Doesn't look like there's...
Wankel (or anyone else who works there)
Any idea when the next round of interviews will be? I've had my stuff in for about a month and am eagerly waiting for a call. Thanks.
There was a thread on them within the past two months; do a search.
If I recall correctly they pay about 25k a year-- pretty low for Long Island. They've been advertising for captains a few times in the past few months. Not sure what that says for the company.
Sorry, off topic-
Who did you talk to about instructing at 7B2? My original instructor moved up there to be chief instructor a couple years ago and I was just curious if he was still there.
Any word on how often they're interviewing? I got my application in too late for this week's interviews but am really hoping to get a call for the next round.
Not familiar with the 90B but I know the 89B and the 94 and on both of those models, OBS mode is so that you can stop the sequencing of waypoints in the flight plan (i.e. holding).
