This may seem like an odd question, but I'm curious what industry standard is.
Does your company pay for employee parking for you? In domicile? What about for commuters?
Thanks!
So here's an interesting dillema.
In the past I have put each professional flying job i've done on my resume. The font got smaller and smaller over time.
In my most recent job, in addition to flying I have also worked in the Standards and Training departments in addition to other projects...
Hello all,
I'm thinking about using Allegiant out of SGF to go to Orlando early next year with the family.
It's a nonstop flight and the price is more than $200 cheaper per person than airline Brand X.
I have two concerns. #1. What happens if the flight is for some reason canceled? (since...
I'm looking for a pilot who worked for Great Lakes prior to 1998 and then AirTran. Not sure if he's still at AirTran.
His name is Brad Raybeck.
If anybody knows him and could help put me in touch with him, please drop me a PM.
Thanks!
Heard a rumor today that JetBlue had started asking pilots for pilots to take voluntary LOA to mitigate furlough.
I heard it second-hand but given the current environment industrywide it would not surprise me.
So what's the truth?
Did anybody here work in the JST tower (NFCT) in 96 and 97 before it was taken over by the military?
I hung out up there quite a bit when I flew the Jetstream and they were always very friendly (even if I spent more time then I should've up there).
My fellow pilots,
The November bid includes 165 recalls. With a roughly 10% recall rate anticipated, this bid should exhaust the furlough list and generate meaningful hiring for US Airways.
I have been told to expect the "take it or leave it" letter within the next two weeks, and that...
Good morning!
I am looking for recalled US Airways pilots (preferably early 99 hires) to answer a few questions regarding the lifestyle now that you are back on line.
I realize that the working conditions and benefits are significantly different than those we left just 6 short years ago. If...
Here's a question for you customs/immigration gurus.
Canadian Aviation Regulations require an alternate any time you are operating on an IFR flightplan.
So let's say you're flying from the US into YYZ. You've notified Canpass etc of your arrival time. As you approach YYZ it goes below minimums...
Boeing says the rollout will be at 3:30pm pacific time. Anybody know if they is going to be coverage of the event televised? If so, what channel?
I have Dish Network and heard channel 576, but according to my guide I dont get that channel.
Thanks
I found the following on another board.
(Phoenix @ Jun 9 2007, 0708 PM)
"...the real white elephant in the room is the fact that ALPA and the company have been complicit in the destruction of a profession to the point that 1500 furloughed pilots won’t “re-marry” the pig that tries to sing...
Does anyone know of a website or national database for aircraft rental?
I'm looking for a 4-place single to rent from Northwest Arkansas (or nearby Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, etc.) and fly to east Tennessee for about 4 days.
Thanks in advance!
Anybody have any suggestions for a little vacation with an infant?
I was thinking of taking a short vacation with the family in early 07. The baby will be around 8 or 9 months old at the time.
Cruises, all-inclusives, etc.
We're open to suggestions.
Flew as a paying customer from ATL-XNA last night.
When the first-officer made his pre-takeoff announcement he said,
"Welcome aboard flight XXXX service to ZINA (or XENA)".
I was aware that he was making wordplay on the three-letter XNA. My wife was not. In fact, several of the customers...
Taking the wife away for Valentine's day. It'll be our last vacation as a "couple" before the little one is born.
Obviously we wont be doing any thrill-rides or anything but we thought that the different international pavilions at Epcot and the movie pavilions at MGM would be fun.
Anybody...
Found the following on USAviation.com. Good luck guys.
"MDA pilots filed 100 page complaint against USAIRWAYS, AMERICA WEST, REPUBLIC HOLDINGS, WEXFORD CAPITAL, and ALPA"
I assume that by now most of you have received AOPA's request that you contact your senators and the FAA to give them your opinion regarding the proposal to make the Washington ADIZ permanent.
I got mine today and used the email and e-contact info for the feds and my elected representatives to...
I dont have a dog in this fight, but I think the E170 pilots -- and all of the junior/furloughed US Airways pilots for that matter -- have the right to fair representation from their elected leadership. US Airways ALPA has eaten its young for far too long. I hope that the MDA pilots turn the...
