Really, the runways CRJ operators use are so long that it is bad technique to not abort for anything... if something is broken, don't fly. -

Continental Has Deadline for Pilot Contract
Pilots sure are dumb sometimes. Anyone remember when scope for RJs was relaxed because it wasn't a big deal and nobody cared about them? Mainline guys managed to give away scope to the bottom half of their flying. Now they're going to give it away for the top half too. -

Anyone got any idea what the NPRM will look like?
ALPA proposed a sliding scale that, based on report time and number of legs, limits block and duty time for the day. 7-9 hours of block, depending on report time. 9-13 hours max duty, depending on report and number of legs. Less duty for more legs and reports that are extremely early or late... -

Bad time for a contract? - regional side
It really is unfortunate that valuable negotiating capital has to be used to negotiate for safety. Someone should write a news article about how union officials are forced to choose in contract negotiations whether to obtain adequate pay or adequate sleep for their pilots. Sleep so we can... -
