time line
I'm curious how long it is taking to go from letter from Derinda to interview. Also how many letters of rec you had. Did they give nay indication how many they are going to hire in 2008?
Thanks
I just got the call yesterday! Accepted a class date of 21 April. HR says 16-20 per class. Mesaba guys are starting to come up. They still want to hire 350 total by the end of the year. Asked to rank dc9 MEM, DTW or -200 ANC.
I received an email from Derinda one month ago that said I met all the minimums. I'm sure many people here got that same email. Are they holding off hiring until the TA passes? How long did it take to get the interview after the email from Derinda?
Thanks,
Patiently Waiting
I recently put in my application with Netjets and now I'd like to visit. I have an overnight there on Friday night/ saturday morning. Any ideas of who I can contact for a guided tour through Ops. Thanks
Thoughts from Continental, United, Frontier or NWA guys. I'm looking at either traveling out of IAH, DEN or MSP. I fly for Air Willy. What else do I need to bring to the gate to jumpseat to Mexico?
Thanks

I am leaving for OTS and flight training here within the next month. I should be active duty orders for about 2.5 - 3 years. I was told by my HR (Air Wisconsin Airlines) that I'll keep my flight benefits, bidding senority, 401K contributions. I will however not accrue...
Hey everyone,
This military thing is new to me. I am heading to OTS in August, and I just took my oath as an E-5. Prior to going to OTS I was thinking of refinancing my home, also getting a Credit Card from USAA, and look into GI Bill/further College training. Who can I call to find out about...
Hey everyone,
Thanks for the tough love. I'll admit I have been flying the civilian world for 11 years now and I have paid for everything. Nothing seems to come easy with financial aid. Glad to hear they take care of us.
It appearstobe many peopleon the board with time at or getting ready for UPT. I am looking forward to OTS in August and then hopefully SUPT in January. I was wondering if it would be advantageous for me to buy a headset prior to flight training? Any input?
I was just wondering if there wa anyone else out here that just got picked by the Reserves. Unofficially, I'll be attending OTS in August...flight training to follow and then back home to Minneapolis in the Reserves flying a C-130
I've been wondering...actually many of us have been wondering!? I fly for Air Wisconsin and as many fellow express companies. We recently have made arangements to carry unlimited jumpseats! There are many ( if not all) express companies that do the same. Frontier, Southwest and even NWA hve...
I KNOW ALOT OF PEOPLE THAT LOOK AT THIS BOARD MAY BE UP FOR SPONSORSHIP IN MARCH'S BOARD. I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE KNOWS A WEBSITE TO FIND OUT THE SELECTIONS. WHEN ARE WE GOING TO FIND OUT?

As I have understood. My reserve unit will enlist me prior to OTS. I may attend a few drill weeekends to meet th e other pilots on base. I think OTS are active orders; thus you rcompany must let you go
Maybe it's because I went to see 'Miracle' this weekend (Awesome movie), but I think I just experienced one. I sent my medical from Buckley in on Feb 3 and received notice today Feb 10 that it was approved. It took all of us by surprise. I didn't think I was going to make it in on this March...
I had a buddy at Alaska that was already in teh Reserves. He was hired and started training at Alaska. nine months into his probation he got activated for a year. He thought it sucked because he couldn't even fly on his week off. But, he went right back to the line and took his recurrent...
I'm waiting for AETC as well
Being a civilian is tough. I have a Reserve unit that wants me. I took the FCI physical in June. Took it over again in August, becasue they lost paper work. Received a signature from my dentist last week...which I found out was wrong. Got X-Rays and more...

I have found that other airline crews staying at the hotel is much easier. I've been working at airlines with pilot groups in the 600-700 range, so we were a bit smaller. But I have seen many a friend dread, and have bid around flying with certain sky godess'...
