We are looking to replace our EFBs. Does anyone have any suggestions based on experience with your current EFB. The ones we have now require a stylus which is a royal pain in the a$$. Touchscreen only, will not be hard wired to the a/c eletrical system or avionics. We use it solely to run...
Folks, I hate to sound anal but...
1. If you are a snorer, please do not fall asleep in the lazy boy while other guys are trying to watch tv, snooze quietly, read the paper etc. Go snooze in your airplane or in a bed supplied by the FBO.
2. If there is only 1 crew car at the FBO, don't...
Don't know what you are planning on flying but if you can, got to DNL rather than AGS. Reservations are easier and it is not nearly as busy. Even if you have to make a fuel stop, I think it is easier than dealing with AGS.
Did anyone else hear the SWA with the stuck mic over Memphis? I was rolling around in the cockpit laughing. It was the best stuck mic I have ever heard. Among other things, I can tell you that the FA, who was in the cockpit, won't sleep with black men. It only got better after that.
Our flight department is looking into trying to recover a lot of these taxes we pay in the EU. I know there are several companies that will do this for you for a percentage of the recovered money. Do any of you have any experience with any of them? I know relatively little about the process...
Can anyone tell me what NBAA lists as the salary for FO on the Lear 60 and 45 in the Southeast? Not sure how they are listed but I am interested in low, average and high. I would also be interested in what some of you lear guys can tell me based on your own experience. Thank you much.

I seem to have lost both of my salary surveys...can someone help?
I need the low, average and high for a Lear 31 FO Corporate position. Either Pro Pilot or NBAA will work.
Thanks in advance.

I have an interview with ASA coming up. Is there any reason to question job security with ASA while DAL is contemplating this move? Most of my background is in corp. aviation so I know little about the relationship between DAL and ASA. Any info on the subject would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I need a little help....
I filled out an app for American Eagle last Friday and got an interview offer today. I have a great corporate job but feel that if I have any chance of getting to the majors (in thirty years when they are hiring again :D ) that I need to switch gears and get into the...
We were just in a crappy FBO yesterday so it got me thinking about all the annoying things FBOs do. My personal favorite is the magnetically locked door to the ramp that takes an act of congress to have opened/unlocked for you. I could go on with a long list of things but I will leave that up...
I am looking for a suitcase that will hold up for more than a couple of years. Does anyone out there have any suggestions? I have seen pilots with bags that have a sort of external metal frame, but I have never seen them in a store. Any ideas or help would be welcome. I am tired of buying a...
Anyone know anything about a 135 company based at MOB, Mobile AL called Charter Services Inc.? They have a pretty good sized fleet for that market. Just curious.
Got in a discussion with someone the other day and figured this would be the place to clarify the answer.
If you fail your ATP written, do you have to wait or get an instructor sign off to take it again? As I understood it, you are kind of on your own. You take it till you pass and you don't...
I am about to take the ATP written. I have heard that only certain airplanes are tested depending on whether you take the 121 test or the 135 test. Generally the smaller ones are tested on the 135 test and the larger jets are tested on the 121 test. However there is nothing about this...
Im about to take my ATP written. I have aspirations of going to the airlines (no snickering). Does it matter whether you take the 135 written or the 121 written? I am more familiar with the 135 but as I said, I would like to work for a 121 carrier one day. Any ideas?
Thanks
Does anyone out there with C-650 experience know anything about the reliability of the hydraulic system in the airplane. We have had terrible luck with ours in the recent past. Is this a function of bad luck or bad design? Any insight would be appreciated.

...it in the heat of this Summer's day. He was at 6,000ft and the winds were now a 20kt headwind. Today was the 6th day straight and he was pretty **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** tired of fighting these engines. Maybe if he got 10,000ft out of them the wind might die off... geez...
Does anybody know of a database online where you might be able to research a particular aircraft's repetitive mx issues.
For example, if you were having a specific problem with your plane, you could see if anyone else is having the same issues.
Any help would be appreciated.
I have heard about and had some experience with controllers in ATL being hard a$$es about 200 KIAS under class bravo. Going in and out of PDK and FTY, you never know whether or not you are in or out (250 KIAS inside 200 KIAS below). Does anyone have any suggestions on how to query ATC without...
I don't have my MBA and I am not an accountant so maybe this is a stupid question but....
Why would a corporation lease an airplane rather than buy it? If they lease it, the company is throwing away the money. As far as I know there are no tax benefits and you aren't building equity in the...
