Democracy in action.

Sad to see this once great company down this low. Keep up hope, there may still be a chance.

Seems someone is very afraid of having a vote. Let the Democratic process take its proper course, bring it to a vote. Also sad to see the Pirhanas taking bites out of each other as the ship continues to take on water.

Sad too, cause, used to be those who fought for the right of folks to vote were considered patriots. Now, not so much, according to this thread anyway.

Vote or not, my advice is to brush up on your swimming skills. Best wishes.

Hey Fractrash,

I've always wondered. Is that avatar a picture of you beating your wife/girlfriend?

Nah that's just him proving how manly he fancies himself to be...similar to his pride about not being able to put together a grammatically coherent English sentence.

Rocky,

There was a vote and the Teamsters were voted in despite of millions of Dollars being wasted by management on a bunch of dirty tricks. The current sad state of affairs are completely due to the near total incompetence and greed of our managers.

The boys who stuck out their collective necks organizing the pilot group were and are patriots, what Sallyboy and a few other misguided souls are doing can only be compared to Benedict Arnold.

Want proof? He has been challenged to explain himself again and again in detail but he refuses to do so. Answer of course is simple, he can't because he has NOTHING concrete to offer. Sal's vapidly vague promises amount to nothing more than asking all of us to voluntarily give up our life vests for a leaky old set of swim goggles because the underwater marine life invisible above the surface is just too pretty for words...

Our democratically elected MEC with the help of our Negotiation Team have already won us the legal right to be represented during any disciplinary hearing with management. We also have someone willing and able to represent us if and when we merge with someone else. It makes zero sense to give any of that up now that we may be faced with a possible buyout by a third party.

All that Sal will accomplish is guaranteeing a staple is in our future. Anyone falling for this incredibly misguided nonsense now is truly a lost soul.

Oh, lest I forget, for our little wife beater buddy fractrash only,...Obama has nothing to do with it. :p

Now I'm a wife beater! Did I just turn back the clock 25 years. I't feels like the childish nonsense that went on in High School. When there's another view that differs from your own, you always resort to name calling. If you represent what the Teamsters are all about and I believe you do, who in their right mind would want to be apart of such an organization?

Their is a connection between Obama and organized labor, especially the Teamsters. How do you think the Laws that favor a Union got put in place. Like a No vote is a voter for you guys, really! That sounds fair. Hell, if it wasn't for that alone we probably wouldn't be having this conversation.

Their is a connection between....???

There is a connection vs it's their connection... Let me help: http://www.diffen.com/difference/Their_vs_There

(...there, who said you can never learn anything useful during their FI browsing time? ;))

I was going to try to point out that Obama was not yet born when in the 1930's all those laws that favored railroads' management "got put in place"...but what's the point of even attempting rational conversation with someone who continuously demonstrates his utter lack of command of even his own language...never mind knowledge of the facts or any kind of historical perspective.

You and Sallyboy make quite a team. Redefining the concept of low information voter, priceless if it weren't so sad for our pilot group...I'll bet that neither of you even got the Benedict Arnold reference? I'll give you a hint, he did not manage Obama's campaign...nor does he work for the Teamsters...:D

Oh btw: "Now I'm a wife beater!" vs "Now I'm a wife beater?" Punctuation is not one of your talents either would be my guess, or are you trying to emphasize that you are proud that we found you out? LOL!

It's hard to believe pilots who are, if their lucky going to be bought by someone else, really considering abandoning every hard earned legal right they can bring to bear in that situation for a cocktail of vague and unsubstantiated promises and threats.

I believe you meant they're, or they are... oops..

Not to dwell on the matter but...I'm not sure the punctuation is correct with this statement-

"I'll bet that neither of you even got the Benedict Arnold reference?"

Doesn't get close to damage the has been done when some use mute versus moot...or heaven forbid...moat.

Meanwhile, what's going on at citation air?

So, the usual anti union suspects show up to defend the anti union, barely literate, drunk poster, wife beater guy?

Come on, choose your battles. This guys not worth splitting hairs over.

He's a minor player.;) At best. :)

Plus... Ogoon did legitimately own him.

OOPS is right! Nice to know that there is always a way to be brought back down to earth... Guess I had it coming, doesn't change a thing though when it comes down to the Union or no Union at CA.

It would be adding insult to injury if we voluntarily gave up the last bargaining chip we have left just because some of us cannot separate ideology from reality. Which part of at least there would be someone fighting for our seniority rights vs having no rights what so ever is not clear to anyone reasonable during a SLI?

Anyone new would have to deal with us as one group vs just being at their mercy as individuals.

or to the damage that has... vs "to damage the has..." Karma is a bitch as X-Rated pointed out to me earlier...:)

Praetorian, I've made an extra effort not to pick on you lately, but this response is beneath you. You can't make that big of a deal about the proper use of "there, their, and they're right after you make the same mistake and not expect to be called on it. Even OHGOON says it's fair.

OHGOON obviously writes well. I think he can handle it.
