Nah, they would just tell you they have earned it and there will always be enough lackeys around to swallow that.

BTW Look up the Fortune 400 and what they took home last year in just income. Divided into an hourly rate it comes out to well North of $90,000.00 an hour on average.

Keep that in mind next time you hear anyone cry poverty and "rising labor costs" They somehow never mention rising Greed Costs. I wonder why? :erm:

Check your math...$90K per hour is $187,200,000 per year. How many made that?

"They were meant to be a safety net, not a way of life."

"Ever tried to live on those benefits? I have; was raised by a single mom who lost her job several times. Not exactly a comfortable lifestyle, but without those benefits and programs, we would have become homeless and starved and she would have never been able to complete her degree which allowed her (and her family) the chance to solidly climb into the middle class. She worked hard all her life to support her kids and keep us off the streets."

Goon, you make his point for him. Your Mom did not want it to be a way of life and used it as a springboard (net) to climb to a better place. That is not how most recipients see the system working today. They do not want to get out of the system, they just want the system to give them more. IMHO

Helm...good comments.

I don't think many of us are so heartless that we won't lend a helping hand to those that need it. Sadly there are a percentage that believe they are owed the assistance.

They may have won the sperm lottery...but somebody did work their tails off and they should be able to do whatever they want with the benefits of their, or their ancestors, success.

Jealousy never is a good trait.

Yea, neither is your vacuous credulity, but here we are.

I think you've missed my point. You post: "In socialism, each person is allotted resources according to his or her input, or amount of work, and in communism, each person is allotted resources according to his or her needs. Many people consider communism to be a "higher" or more extreme form of socialism." Remember this?

It should be crystal clear to any fractional pilot, who is witness to the kinds of excess wealth and privilege enjoyed by our owners, some of whom have never lifted a finger to benefit anyone but themselves, that we are not living in a socialist country.

We now live in a country where, income inequality has soared to the highest level since the Great Depression, with the top one percent taking 93 percent of the income earned last year. A pure plutocracy.

And yet you continue to believe it is in your interest to advance the agenda of the wealthy and parrot the talking points they feed you, via the billions recently placed at their disposal through the citizens united decision. All because they sit in the back of your plane? You think they give a $hit about you? Let me clue you in, you are a limo driver to them, 'the help'.

Weigh in any time here NJ Owner.

It reminds me of the scene in Toy Story where Woody tells Buzz, "YOU! ARE! A! TOYYYYY! You aren't the real Buzz Lightyear! You're - you're a child's play thing!"

It may a bit easier if you were to propound fastidiously you point of what should be...rather than circuitously putting forth your obfuscatory cogitations.

Success should not be viewed with contempt...

Nothing to check. That is what the top 400 richest American's made on average according to Forbes.

Eye popping isn't it? Bet you Fox Noise and the Drudge report ignored that one??!

IMHO is right!

See it any way you want. I am tired of hearing these right wing pro-wealth and anti poverty opinions expressed with such dismissive attitudes here. How do you know if "most" recipients see the system as their dream? Know many of them? Or are you just aping the drivel that comes from the "Wrong" Media like Fox Noise and the Drudge report.

Yes it should, if it means others are not doing well because of it. Nothing happens in a vacuum.

Praetorian however never mentioned that he was jealous, you hung that judgement on what he said. His point was rather a bit more weighty - something about proving to you that we are nowhere near approaching a socialistic/communistic society by using his job experiences as an example. Seemingly reading comprehension is an issue for you, so please reread his post.

BTW: Too bad Dictionary.com and Thesaurus.com still can't check your proofreading skills huh?

How ignominiously discomfiting this all should be for you if you had a modus operandi able to extract your cranium out of your no doubt copious gluteus maximus. :smash:

Do you happen to know what percentage that is? Do you volunteer at a soup kitchen or shelter and therefore know what you are talking about?

Just wanted to reiterate (means repeat, no reason to dive for your dictionary yet again) what I posted earlier about mindlessly clapping...

You had said Fortune 400 so one would have assumed you were talking about the CEOs of these companies.

If you are talking about the Forbes 400, I have no idea what that is nor do I care. Their income is not relevant as it varies by the amount of assets they sell in any given year. It also doesn't take into account the losses of those that fell off the list.

Why the hate toward the people who are your customers? If we didn't have people with money, there wouldn't be any private aircraft.
