Well it's hard to tell through the ego, but it appears you voted for this current contract. Deny it as you like, but your YES vote lead to the approval of LOA 25 Section 4. And you somehow think you hold the high ground on character!

By the way a Scab is a Scab. Never once faced a discipline problem for using the word. Sorry you turned chicken sh!t based on rumors. Most UAL furloughees at CAL aren't like that.

Funny how scabs at CAL have had a comfortable environment around guys like you for many years and that is now changing. Now they have to fly with guys like me and now are comtemplating early retirement. Not sure what rumors but this major capitulating culture that management enjoys and prefers is your problem but we'll fix it.

UAL MEC represents UAL furloughees for the SLI process which is at the deep core of all the problems but you know that don't you. Are you one of the guys that says we have no career expectations as we are furloughed?

Wait.....you expected the CAL MEC, which set you up a job no questions asked, paid you what you were making after you were furloughed from UAL, represented you as a CAL pilot but wearing UAL wings, received lump sum money and profit sharing as a CAL pilot but your UAL MEC represents you for the SLI and now you are glad you think you have somehow eliminated the CAL MEC? Is there anything else we can do for you as you walk on our backs while we are face down in the mud.

Haaaaaaa, wwhhhoooooo, hooooooeeeeee. Gimme a sec......catching my breath. Now that was damn funny. Are you the pot or the kettle?

You'll have to explain to me how as far as w2's go hourly compensation X hours worked per month X 12 does not = compensation. Was the CAL MEC looking for work rules on the W2's?? I knew they were confused but...........

I spent three semesters in various labor law classes at Georgetown and we reviewed numerous case histories regarding arbitrated labor and integration decisions. I can assure you that W2 data is heavily looked at by arbitrators in their decisions. It is exactly why the CAL MEC had to force UAL MEC to release the data. You're a fool to think otherwise.

Are you truly this arrogant or did you stay in a Holiday Inn last night? I have heard from a lot of pilots at CAL remarking it was a huge mistake to bring the UAL furloughs on property.

Even more ironic that I just had this same conversation with a 90 ish hire Captain friend of mine last night about what a major pain in the ass and how arrogant some of you guys are. "It might have been better to let them rot in the street where the UAL MEC placed them in the first place".

Sorry guys, when it comes down to it, it will be pretty close to current relative seniority, plus or minus a few percentage points. I believe longevity will also be a small factor this time, but it probably won't make a huge difference. Unfortunately the current guys/gals on furlough will probably be placed below all current flying pilots, and there will probably be fences around the 744s on the UAL side, and 787s on the CAL side, maybe 5 years. Also a no "bump and flush" for current seats and bases. Don't get too spooled up, that is most likely what will happen. Good luck!

Bye Bye---General Lee

I have heard several complaints from more than a handful of captains.

Initially, I believed offering furloughed pilots a job at L-CAL was the right thing to do, but now I'm not too sure.

It's almost like we insulted these guys, crappy L-CAL airlines offering the almighty L-UAL pilots a job.

They should have been hired into the L CAL medical clinics in IAH and EWR. Discount brain surgery while you wait.

From a practical standpoint, it sure has bred a lot of arrogance that is for sure. From my perspective studying case law and prior precedents, there are going to be a lot of hombres getting a real rude awakening.

How many times does "his" MEC have to through him under the bus before it sinks in??

Bwwaaaaa!!! Ya these guys have been scabs for 30 years and they are quitting now cause you don't like them? That is probably the most ridiculous statement ever posted on here. Do you really think anyone cares what you think about them. If your punishment to them is the silent treatment put me on your list please. I would never scab but it would be great not to have to listen to your drivel for a four day.

My point is anyone with a pencil could have figured it out. Also we were not in the SLI process. Your a fool to not get thet.

Regardless, i'm confident with my JD degree and knowledge against your incessant rambling which one actually has merit within the discussion. W2 figures are the benchmark data used within these proceedings not your "point" no matter how many times you want to whine about it. You also realize that the SLI process has already started with discovery on both sides right?

Also, if you are going to call someone a fool, be sure to at least spell correctly (thet?) and understand the difference between your and you're. Maybe you should stick to brain surgery?

Hysterical! They are senior as all bejesus and enjoying 5 more years thanks to the almighty ALPA that sold its soul by taking them back. You really think the FO not talking to them and pointing at their name on a list is causing them to think early retirement!?! Hint hint pal they have been uncaring @ssholes for a long time.

As for culture, I won't defend CAL's past and quite frankly most post 90 hires fought it. Unfortunately your side is not the white knight of the profession you seem to think you are. One look at F Concourse at ORD proves that. I would much rather work together to stick it to Fred, but unfortunately forming a team gets hard when hotheads proclaim that CAL guys wanted the contract to drag on so we could 'steal' upgrades.

First off thank you so much for the english lesson. Thet was an obvious typo and your was a mistake....you were correct I was wrong....shoot me. You are the one that started the name calling read your (did I get that one correct???) own post. At the time of the W2 request there were no proceedings going on. It was a ploy plain and simple. If you want to believe other wise feel free. You have that right, but you know all about rights with your dusty ole JD degree. Pompass A$$

I read 10 pages of complete one-sided posts and decided responses were in order and respond I did. I may be harsh and direct but I am not on here bragging about my résumé and degrees. You are as if we are all supposed to drop to our knees. Wrong crowd for that piece of not required personal info. Maybe El Jeffe will ride with you one day and you two can bond.
Secondly, fully aware of the Tpa language but also see my job offer came straight from United Airlines and didn't really need a Tpa or CAL MECs approval to decide who and when they hire. Many UAL furloughees were volunteers and or back on active duty doing just fine. You did but now don't want a thanks for saving us from "roting in the streets"?...not sorry for my perceived arrogance on that one.
I am really hurt you and your Capt "friend" don't like us...not sure I'm gonna be able to continue on. The only time I see friction is when a junior CAL CA or FO wants us to listen to their theories on our zero career expectations and how bad sUAL everything is and we respond. Otherwise things are mostly positive on both sides.

Discovery look up the term sport. Pompass a$$ from a brain surgeon? Now that is funny.

P.S. you spelled that wrong again. I bill out at $250 hr so I can't keep pointing out your ignorance for free Doctor.

When you have to deal with stunning arrogance it helps to qualify your knowledge base. Lest some of the typical tools on here try to dissect a post.

As far as one being on their knees that reminds me of you and your brethren voting yes on a pathetic overdue contract because of spineless whimpering about losing seats that never belonged to you to begin with.

There were 1437 of you on the street from your own sell out by your own MEC. I foresee a very bitter career for so. So be it and enjoy. You deserve it

With a reply like that its no wonder you opted for a different career. If you were half as smart as you think you are you wouldn't have to "qualify" yourself, get over yourself. Pretty easy to get under you skin...not very lawyerish. I am perfectly happy with my career and hobby of slamming pompass arrogant lawyers. I am not happy about the contract that many CAL pilots also voted for (try and remember some basic math), but am real happy about CAL MEC being within months of ceasing. This cruddy contract is well worth that alone!

Just a tool trying to justify his existance.

Amazing. Guy who flys for the pilot group who imfamously likened themselves to brain surgeons in a profession full of general practicioners, picking at someone with actual dual credentials. Your rant on here has gone from complete panic to what appears to be some sort of cry for help. You've fallen into a battered spouse like syndrom or something. (IDK, and I don't give a damn either. But you're screwed up.) You and your fellow sUAL pilots created all your problems. This boils down to which pilot group held the line and you guys did not. Paul W. signed the 70 seat side letter and that sealed your fate. If you had not let that happen sUAL likely would have no furloughs and not parked so many airplanes. You may not think it's your fault, but it sure as hell isn't JP, mine, or any other CAL pilot's fault.

You know, You're the real culprit here. A guy like you who got picked up by UAL after EAL needs to be able to deliver some solid leadership, or at least a better example. Why did so many of you sit by while the sUAL pilots from 85 hocked everone else's future trying to save their own ass? Not one of you guys had a competing opinion. You of all people had to know Paul W's unilateral move was a death sentence, right? Is that why you're on here egging on these furloughed sUAL pilots who want to blame sCAL pilots? You're hoping they won't figure out who really dropped the ball [you]?

So your asserting that I claim to be a brain surgeons and then proceed to medically diagnose me? You are a genius or a wack job? I have many friends on both sides that have more than one profession going but not a one goes on a pilot forum bragging of their degree and resume or hourly rates. Save it, I get it that you think I'm the one with and inflated ego. It's kind of ironic that a poster with 2600+ posts accuses one with 40 of crying for help!
Pretty sure I never blamed the CAL MEC or you, I just don't like how either rolls in this profession. Holding the line for me is ending the CAL MEC and elected positions for pilots like you. We will all move on but this forum will be as far as your ridiculous hot air will be heard in the near future. Oh yeah, I wasn't at UAL when the 70 letter was signed; was in the Arabian Gulf holding another line you wouldn't understand. FLOPGUNT!

I am sure as a standalone, a 50 seat scoped CAL would really be kickin some butt against the industry today. Your posts remind me of the gases in the Hindenburg on its last flight. FLOPGUNT!

Seems to be working for SWA. What If Delta gives up all flying? Are going to capitulate because "we have to compete?" The 50 seaters were going away on there own, we could have owned just about all flying ....if we were not so scared.

I'm not sure I care about that, so much as I care about not furloughing my fellow pilots.

You obviously don't know what the 70 seat side letter was.

Well why don't you explain it to me?! Let me guess: It's CAL's fault? JP's fault? Drop the BS, we don't owe you a bailout. Your self inflicted scope wound is what has put you in the position you're in.

We hired 350 after the 70 seat letter...

Clue: outside merger whipsaws...furloughs are tied to the success and profitability of your company.

I am sure your furloughed pilots appreciated your concern...right up until you VJM'd yourself silly.
