Again, I have nothing against SWA, just the arrogance of FI.com SWA posters.
right, you refer to SWA as a regional PFT airline...
No, you hate SW because we didn't hire you.
Arrogance? Calling a successful major airline a "PFT Regional" isn't arrogant? Especially when you purport to work for an even smaller major airline....... Not only is it arrogant, it's idiotic.
I don't believe you're actually a pilot..... My theory is that you are GL and OYS with yet another login. At best, you're an angry AT guy, but my guess is you're just another bitter troll with no career and nothing better to do with your life than to attempt to annoy the adults.
What makes an airline great? Is it the size
Of an airplane? The number of destinations outside the lower 48? Or the profitability and pay of said airline? To each his own.
Just stating the facts. You had to buy a 737 type rating to either get an interview or prior to hiring, didn't you? That reduces the cost to SWA to qualify you. In other words, you paid for your initial qualification. If it walks like PFT and quacks like PFT, its PFT.
I didn't apply. I didn't have $8K to buy a type rating just to get an interview with what was, at the time, the lowest paying 737 operator in America.
1. Your route structure more closely resembles a regional airline.
2. You have to have a 737 type rating to be considered for employment.
3. Bigger isn't necessarily better.
4. I never represented the fact that my airline isn't a niche player.
P.S. My Maui layovers are particularly nice in the fall/winter. Hope you're having fun in ROC and SYR.
I don't know about that, but shining the light under YOUR rock does seem to annoy you.
It was kind of a rhetorical ? For Jennifer Lea and fugimoto
Unless, of course, you compare stock prices....
Well, we serve international destinations AND Hawaii. So far, you're just wannabes...
I bet you would trade your paycheck for mine any day, you guys are just waiting for the other management shoe to drop.........ALPA AK has taken one management beat down after another..... keep it up fools and you will be in the same boat as 900 of your ramper's .....on the street we will see you in ANC and HNL soon enough.......how about the closing of your MD-80 base in Long Beach because you guys cried about driving to a reserve assignment ????? you may have Alaska and HNL for now but so what we have the money and all else and most of our flight attendants are not past social security age.
I wouldn't crow about furloughs just yet, jackie. What do you think is going to happen when they start parking the 717s?
Oh, I'm sorry....I didn't realize this is the high school boys' locker room.![]()
Trust me alaska air is going to find out I hope you guys have a lotta money in your war chest

Imagine the sweet irony when Alaska and American hook up and Fucup gets stapled.
Anyone who calls me Tranny in my face will be missing teeth. And I have the training to back that statement up. You wouldn't even know what happen when you wake up.
Does that clarify how I feel about the name?
Obsessed a little, bub? I guess the truth just gets under your skin...
Hey, be PROUD of the fact that you are a cog in a megaregional that overpays you. Enjoy it while it lasts. Ask any UAL pilot about their early '90s heyday. Don't think it can't happen to you. In fact, the "no furlough" record you are all so proud of will probably go away when the God King starts divesting you of your new 717 fleet.
I just hope you're senior enough to avoid the axe.
Again, for the umpteenth time...its not SWA per se I dislike. Its the unbelievable arrogance of SOME of the SWA pilots who post here.
Sure, I think the AAI guys would have done better with an arbitrator. But, they chose to lay down when y'all put a gun to their head. Oh well....
And I don't see why pointing out the SWA is the largest, most successful regional airline in the world qualifies as hate? I admire the fact that you've turned an essentially regional business model into such a great success.
However, just to give you some historical perspective, when we were flying troops to Vietnam and heavy lift cargo to the North Slope in the pipeline days, YOUR airline was flying 8 legs a day inside the state of Texas.
Your whole pay system (TFP) is based on a regional system. Your current modus operandi of avoiding major hub airports whenever possible (DAL, MDW, BWI, etc) is emblematic of a regional airline.
