Actually, I heard this CA was going to be terminated by Airtran. He asked if he could resign instead. He then went to SW and started over. Really a great move for someone who otherwise would have been looking for employment in another field. Being at the bottom of the new SW list was a no brainer compared to the alternative. Again, just what I'm hearing.

Well "he" is a big dumbass.

Must have been for the money. No. Maybe the security. No. Maybe the career expectations. No.

I give up.

Gup

He could have had MORE of that from the left seat after the SLI. Yep, dum-bass.

Bye Bye---General Lee

What do you mean if? Of course it is. Why not? I mean is there anything else the "deal" can get for you, perhaps immortality too?

That is EXACTLY what the USAir East pilots thought. After the SLI, the top 500 were all East pilots, and then pretty much relative from there. Expect something similar. Arbitration is in your future, you cannot deny it. Why would your union already get outside lawyers to prepare for it? DOH or a staple just won't happen. Enjoy it, dude.

I haven't heard of any Captain leaving here to go to another airline in several years, and I haven't heard of a senior guy leaving since Frenchy went to Delta . . . . the rest of his family lives in France, and so it made sense for him. I saw him a couple of years ago in "E" Concourse, and he was happy with his decision. Great guy, btw.
