I knew that DL had reduced their schedules out of CVG, but I didn't realize how much, until I flew in there this past thursday. We landed on 36L, and there were weeds growing out on the taxiway all the way back to the departure end of 36C. Really sad.

You think that's sad, check out STL. TWA operated hundreds of flights/day in 2001 and now AA is down to like 34.

Just shows to go you, a hub without strong O & D traffic is no hub.

Good Morning. I talked to the gate agents there a few weeks ago. They told me years ago DL had approx 240 flights per day out of CVG. This past summer sched was 42 flights a day and this fall is only 22 flights per day out of CVG. Sad indeed.

But...wait...I clearly remember Mr. Anderson saying after the merger announcement that all the hubs would be preserved?

I hope MEM isn't next on the cutting block. Sad indeed.

Yep.. RA said a lot of things-all false. He also said that all the "synergies" of the merger would lead to awesome profits (how is that working out for you?) The only people who buy that kind of B.S. are Gen Lee and ACL.

-Ba-Ba-Ba-Billions of lies-(just like our prez.)

God bless boy. CVG is a medium market that does not fully support a full service carrier except to a few cities. DAL will serve those.

We have a very defined business plan, and it states what we will and will not do. One of them is flying to cities that do not work for our business model. I would not want to be at DCI, that hammer is falling and fast.

DCI was just a simple lookup.

It's Rafsu Decimomannu Airport in Sardinia, Italy. Didn't realize the hammer was falling there. Such a nice airport too...

Delta used to have 3 flights a day between DCI and CVG, plus the daily flights from ATL and JFK to boot. Sad how times have changed for DCI.
