Name calling is the last resort of a weak mind. Grow up.

Sometimes the truth hurts. Sorry to piss you off, but I stand by my statement. Until you witness our service you won't understand, and I'll look like a jerk. That's fine.

There IS a reason why people look forward to the experience of flying on NetJets and why people dread flying on airlines. It is the service. If 121 pilots would try, just try a little, to make flying a more pleasurable experience, you might find people willing to spend a little more on your flights instead of looking for the lowest bidder.

Do you always call people who are trying to help a "D-Bag"?
Guess what genius? For passengers who want a higher level of customer service, there is often another option. It's called first class. The NetJetter who started this thread was complaining about the service on a GoJet ride. It's my understanding that GoJet planes have a first class section.

Was he in first class? Doesn't sound like it. I think you guys are barking up the wrong tree. Why don't you tell Warren Buffet to quit being such a cheapskate get you guys some seats up in the front? It seems to me that it's your company that doesn't really care that much about your comfort. If your employer doesn't value you that much, why should anyone else?

Here's a plan. Since Fishman covets the NetJets owner lifestyle, but can't seem to afford to travel like a gentleman. Also, he seems to have lav cleaning skills.

Maybe, the airlines could arrange a deal for him. He could clean the potty during the flight and they could give him some extra perks to make him feel less like a schmuck. He could maybe get an extra bag of peanuts or they could let him keep the whole can of apple juice.

What do you think Fishman?

There IS a reason why people look forward to the experience of riding in a limousine and why people dread riding on the New York subway. It is the service. If subway conductors would try, just try a little, to make riding a more pleasurable experience, you might find people willing to spend a little more on the subway instead of looking for the lowest bidder.

Fishman. I'm not sure if you are capable of the abstract thought required to understand the analogy above. If you're feeling confused about why there is talk of cars and trains when we were discussing planes, let me know. I can try to use more concrete examples.

What amount do I need to spend to get someone off their high horse and clean a lav at a regional?

There isn't any amount of money that you could pay me to get me to clean up after you. I didn't become a pilot so I could work like a maid.

Are you too good to help throw bags in a rush too?

Not my job. I let the rampers handle the bag throwing.

Maybe reading comprehension isn't yours.

Me: $1600 one-way.
Them: $205 round-trip, or $102.50 each way.

1600/102.50 = 15.61 times the fare.
Ok. So you're not as stupid as Fishman but STFU anyway because nobody gives a shlt what Warren paid for your economy class ticket.

Wow. What an eloquent argument.

... because nobody gives a shlt what Warren paid for your economy class ticket.

Apparently PCL does, because he believes "then maybe [we] should buy tickets on some basis other than the cheapest price" so they could afford somebody to wipe down the pisser. I was pointing out that we don't buy based on the cheapest price.

I guess that was lost on you, too.

CA1900, I wasn't talking about Netjets specifically, but about passengers in general. Obviously you guys are buying tickets at the last minute and don't have any flexibility, so your prices are full-fare, but most passengers will spend hours digging around on the internet to find simply the cheapest price, regardless of service. Because of that, our margins are nonexistent, and service suffers at all carriers. Those of you who pay full-fare get screwed, but we can't offer a top tier service at rock-bottom average fare price.
