Options, just to allow you some perspective on where I'm coming from, I moved on from TSA several years ago. I was there while the Gojet issue was going strong and am very knowledgable about the facts surrounding the situation. You should also be as clear and let people know if you are still employed at Gojet or if you took the offer to return to Flight Options and why or why not.
You can post all of the facts you want, debatable or not, but what all of this boils down to is that TSA management came to the pilots of TSA to discuss 70 seat pay rates. They were told that those rates already exist as a provision of the current contract that requres new equipment to be paid at industry standard rates among non-wholly owned carriers, but the pilot group was willing to negotiate in good faith. Management made an offer that was unacceptable to the pilot group. Instead of considering a counter offer and negotiating in good faith, TSA management relied on the fact that they could hire pilots, like you and CX880, to do it cheaper and with fewer contactual protections than the TSA pilot group. And they were right. This wasn't a gamble but an expectation of fair and honest dealing that you guys helped undermine. You guys jumped at the chance to undermine the attempts of the TSA pilots to improve the qualitiy of life for themselves and their families, just as managemet hoped. That makes you an enabler.
Hulas did start that certificate to get around AA scope but could have done so with a single list like Republic has done. But you helped him do otherwise.
The TSA pilots have never "stolen" any flying from anyone. The movement of flying from one carrier to another is a management decision and is not made by the pilots. You and the other Gojet pilots, on the other hand, made a personal and conscious decision to go to work for a carrier that was conceived to undermine the contract of another carrier.
Since you stated in your previous post, "The fact that I disagree with these guys who have a definite bias towards this does not mean I agree with the situatuion." what is your position? Don't just play devil's advocate but own up to what you feel is really right or wrong.
I realize that integrity is a personal matter and those without it must live with themselves, but advocating that others have the same vacancy in that area that your fellow Gojet pilots have will not make any of you better. By your logic, no one at an airline should act to make anything better for themselves or those that follow and should only act on what is in their own best interest at the time. Truley selfish. Don't do anything to improve the profession, just yourself.
Instead of just reacting to this post in an effort to justify your chosen position, look at what your actions have created for others and decide for yourself if you chose to do what is right or just right for you. Good luck
