Redwood... a major?? NO

Exactly. The only funny thing about that call sign is that it's VIRGIN calling itself REDWOOD. I'm positive no one thought about it in depth before they applied for the callsign.

That's right. "Eagles-Poo" seems to have forgotten about the recently enacted legislation calling for binding arbitration when 2 different "unions" represent the same class and craft of employee.

PHXFLYR
There is no merger coming, it was just to tempting to push the dudes buttons.

Best post on the whole thread!

Binding arbitration.

I think the new call sign should be "WEBA".. abbreviation for Westoffs, Eastholes, and Binding Arbitration. It sorta invokes thoughts of FUBAR.

No, actually I am going to enjoy getting to use the Cactus call sign.

Cactus = Craphole airport called "Sky Harbor"

Worst Gate Agents and Airport Set Up in the Entire Country. That place brings down USAIR more than it Helps USAIR.

What matters is life and family and last week I lost my best Friend and Father in an auto accident. So you see all of you BABIES out in the west and east can just GO and GET OVER IT.

Sorry for your loss boomer.......

You are an idiot.

Instead of just sticking with US Airways, now you go and insult a bunch of other professionals who have no dog in this fight. The US Airways 'system' as you call it is loaded with other companies... Piedmont, PSA, Air Wisconsin... Hell, there are even a bunch of Colgan guys that I would consider to be class acts (Thanks for the rides, guys). You may not like the fact that these companies don't have shiny new metal or the way they do business, but that is no reason whatsoever to go and lump those pilots in with the Hatfields and McCoys at US Airways.

Do me a favor, if you ever board a Piedmont dash looking for a ride, please identify yourself as the writer of your moronic post. I want to see what a real "class act" you are yourself.

nugget makes lots of idiotic remarks..... just expect it.

A major US airline who uses a diffrent call sign than that painted on the side of airplane??? That's funny.

I know you mentioned "major US airline", but......

DYNASTY.............China Airlines
SHAMROCK...........Air Lingus
SPEEDBIRD...........British Airways

Here's a list: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/A698231

Call sign? A big deal?? I would have preferred more money, time off, more per diem, and one pilot list as arbitrated. Oh well, C2004 is adequate for now. If gas keeps going down and consumer confidence grows....perhaps the furloughs may not materialize.

Amen to that Boomer! I just lost my MC Riding buddy / Brother-in-Law in an "incident" on July 28th to a 30 year old 2x DUI w/ a suspended license. I have no doubt that Mike is in God's house at this very minute waiting for his family to join him sometime in the future, but it still doesn't take away the sting.

1. Tell your family members and friends what they mean to you and that you love them.
2. Send them a post card from the road from time to time as a reminder.
3. Take LOTS of pictures. The occasion that you are waiting for to do family pictures or pictures with friends may never come.
4. Have fun at work & w/ your co-workers (but not at their expense).
5. Repeat steps 1-4 often!!
