I just spoke with John Ryan at the FAA and he recommended that I call SKW's POI. Apparently the POI does the PRIA oversight. He seemed to think that if SKW changed the records after I left, that that is not only inappropriate but may be falsification of records. I guess we'll see...

I could see my wife doing something like that actually...

I'm pretty sure you can get this fixed.

I find it extremely unlikely that SKW can legally change your PRIA records based on something which occured after you left their employment. While they could certainly refuse to rehire you for something which occured post-employment (ie DUI), the PRIA is supposed to cover your employment period only...not your life history.

The fact that you didn't write the remark should also get you off the hook.

Contact the Chief Pilot's office, and politely explain the situation. I'd probably do it via certified mail (so they know you are not kidding). Maybe include a letter of apology from your wife to prove that it wasn't you. I'm pretty sure they will change your records.

If they don't, contact the FAA and consider hiring an attorney. You probably don't want to explain this situation at a future interview.
