Hmmm . . . . . it would be entertaining, of that you could be certain. SK would be reduced to pounding on the table with his shoe, like Kruschev. ;)

.

would you go into the negotiating venue dressed like your avatar, quoting some of Patton's best?

I want Best Pilot to negotiate for us. I don't think mgmt can speak that language therfore we could always win the "intent" argument :)

Major?

WOW!
I had no idea that Air Tran was a major airline now! Congrats on the promotion!

By definition it is a Major airline ($1 billion in revenue anually)and has been for some time.
It is not a legacy airline (ie Continental, United ect).
Does that clear it up for you?

While you're flying your shiny RJ around, maybe you should do a little research on what constitutes a "major" airline.

You know... maybe even before you open your mouth and everyone knows how little you understand your own industry...

Just a thought.

Back on topic... I 2nd the nomination for BestPilot. All in favor? ;)

I agree with replacing AP as the president and also replacing the negotiating team. I do not think BD would be a good choice. Putting MB back on the negotiating team would be a good move.

MB has the requisite knowledge, and it would be great if we could prevail upon him to assist in an Advisory capacity, but I'm not sure he would actually want to go back to the table. It would be great if we could have his assistance, and I think his "opener" to the COmpany is a more fitting place to begin negotiations from, not this POS TA that is so poorly written it would receive a "D" in a Freshman "Expositive Writing" class.

The funny part is that your TA was trying to outsource all your flying to shiny little RJs. Pretty swooft!

Sounds like a "major" smart move!
