Yeah, and in 2003 BB said if we didn't accept a pay cut we would lose the United contract thus cutting our pilot force in half.......I seem to remember doubling our workforce, gaining 170's for United and Delta.

Wake up, southwest didn't want F9 or they would have out bid us in a second. They wanted to look at the books to see how well F9 was really doing.

Regardless, rah won the bid. It was a lose lose for frontier.
 
F9 20 F/O position

Does anyone know how many REH, Midwest pilots got hire for the 20 F/O positions ?? what about the Lynx guys, did anyone applied and was called???

SWA would have had to almost double their offer to match RAH as RAH's bid took their $150MM claim off the table.

Wilson did the polling of F9 pilots. Wilson had done some work for the IBT in the past, so they had a conflict of interest in polling the RAH pilots.

The second best polling company was selected to poll the RAH pilots. One that is located in a foreign country - Canada. The IBT represents workers in Canada and they are part of NAFTA, so it's not like it was out sourced to a country that paid 3 cents a call for every call the child work force placed.

As far as I know, the furloughed Lynx guys never got a memo on how to apply. I know a few of us definitely wanted to. I updated my airlineapps.com app for F9, but I don't think that was where they pulled from. Never heard anything.

You are making a big deal out of nothing. It's a phone number for crying out loud! Who cares where they got it. It is just a poll. It you don't want to take it, say 'no thank you' or don't answer. You are being a Drama Queen.

According to F9 A319, it was more than a phone number. He has the info, ask him.

TSA cares where they got it. FBI cares. It's how you obtain the info and what you do with it.

Ask the three AWA pilots placed on admin leave and why LCC is offering a free year of LifeLock to the East pilots.

Sorry, it's not necessary or relevant to keep guessing. There are plenty of pilots at RAH, UTU, ALPA and FAPA that know who I am. It's simply not important.

FAPA does an exceptional job of keeping its membership informed, especially if the individual has an interest. Every FAPA BoD member will take the time and discuss every issue they can with any member. They are but a phone call away.

Between FAPA's accessibility and being able to talk to pilots at all 4 companies in a reasonable, calm manner - whether you always agree or not - makes it pretty easy to stay informed.

People just don't like to talk to others that don't pay attention or refuse to consider alternatives. If you have already made up your mind on an issue regardless of the facts, it's going to be a short discussion.

The interesting thing to me is that I don't know a ton of stuff that's going on or will happen in the future.

A saying I read somewhere said, "This is the Diem we must Carpe."

IBT keeps the contracts simple.....the F.A.R's and no JA. Maybe a list of low-cost vendors for snazzy back packs and hair salons specializing in blonde highlights? PUHLEEESE Olive Oil, when ya'll have a claim other than "My wages are so bad it allows the extra $$$ to let The Papal Annuncio to expand his Air Force" I might listen. Ya'll aint gotta hair on yer arse....This place has a dimmer future than a hooker with a chipped tooth.....God, PLEASE GET ME OUTTA HERE!

That's because one of them works for Value Jet...oops I mean Airtran, so he likes to put his LCC airline in the Major section.

Ok, first of all, try an English dictionary. Your post is painful to read, and I would imagine you think you're being somewhat literate... not the case.

Regarding the "crying Baby" comment, let me just say that I'm in this gig long-term, and am looking beyond a relatively short seven year timeframe. Even if I upgraded to Captain between now and then, as soon as the Republic guys/gals start coming over, my quality of life will do nothing but get worse and worse. That's reality, not whining. It sucks, and I wonder what gives those people the right to adversely affect my QOL when their "career expectations" amounted to retiring flying an RJ, complete with the accompanying payscale? I took the chance and left the regionals, starting at the bottom of a company that had the potential for earning more than was possible at the regional where I worked for nine years.

Don't tell me how good I'll have it for the next seven years. After the fence is down, it will only get worse and worse. If you don't raise your expectations for the future, your pay and QOL will perpetually suck, and now that 'We are one' (steaming pile of...) we now need to work together to raise the bar to the should be. My current QOL should be the norm - why do you seem so willing to accept that as anything else?

Spare me. Don't you get it, we've already lived that life. We didn't want anything to do with little airplanes, food stamp wages, or IBT representation ever again - we're over it.
