AirTran is not a stepping stone job for the vast majority of AirTran pilots. Yes, there are some guys who decide to move on to something else, but those are few and far between. Most guys came here with the intent to make this their career. Many of us never even applied to SWA.

Whatever you say, Baghdad Bob. Can you or any other AT guy put some real numbers to how many pilots left AT over the last ten years? (I'd bet SWAPA can ) I'm sure AT has been a career airline since the industry's music stopped in 2008, but before that, not so much. And for those who proudly proclaim they never even applied to SWA, be honest, was it only because of the 73-type?

Over 17 years that's about 9 a year or less than 1 a month. The significance of this is subjective.

Besides the AAI guys going to SW, what about the others?

AAI to DL
AAI to Fedex
AAI to UPS
AAI to Alaska
AAI to JetBlue
AAI to United, etc, etc..

When you add it all up, I would say it's a pretty significant number. There really is no way to argue that it's not.
