Kwick,

I think your NC is about to have an interesting meeting with SWAPA and SWA management...just saying! Welcome aboard and let's try to have a good time together!

D

You're probably wrong. I heard that GK wants this over quicker, and SWAPA might be told to quicken the pace. Gotta capture those "synergies", right? Arbitration will make it go faster, and more fair. Ask the Colgan guys how they did with their higher paid and jet flying counterparts at PNCL/MES.

Face it trannies - you can't get 100% of the gains in this deal.

Please read deeper in what you just posted. When you're light bulb comes on feel free to describe your vision.

Gup

My vision is what was stated- fair an equitable. The definition of this, apparently, will be up to an arbitration panel. Are you willing to accept their decision?

They can get most of the gains. The NWA guys got higher pay raises percentage wise vs DL, the same amount of stock, more plane types to bid, and a better choice of bases. I hear that from my FNWA captains on the bus all the time.

and they lost their seniority.

Let me help you out.

Integration of the two airlines will require fair and equitable integration of the seniority list as stated in Allegheny-Mohawk and negotiation of labor agreements applicable to the combined operation.

Notice how Gary said "INTEGRATION of the two airlines will REQUIRE fair and equitable integration of the seniority list?" Read that again. Then read it again.

This aint going to arbitration.

So NW captains are jerking gear for DL F/O's?

Funny stuff...

Stop trying to compare two 70 year old airlines who went bankrupt at the same time, who both exited bankruptcy at the same time, who had similar demographics, both corporate and seniority wise to this deal.

Isn't the same.

BTW, I agree with CarlP that in 5 years, hell I say today, you wouldn't be able to tell us apart if you took the uniform off. Aitran pilots have the same DNA as Southwest pilots and I'm sure we'll all work well together.
