Pretty easy to do when you're at the bottom of the list. I'm glad you're not negotiating on my behalf, or for the rest of your fellow pilots.

Did you think before you wrote that, or were you that drunk at 10 a.m.?

Ty I stopped drinking and started thinking a long time ago.

I read the SWA contract. In a worst case scenario our pilots will make 2K more a month. Airtran pilots will earn this 2K more working less days a month. More money less work... thats the end of the discussion for me.

I know Ty... pay is temporary and seniority is forever. That thinking would keep you at Great Lakes for the rest of your life.

Here is my slogan. Compound interest is a mother********************er!!! No social security, no pension, forced retirement at 65, be ready to walk.

Like I said, I'm glad you're not negotiating for me or your other coworkers. What you are doing right now is negotiating against us.

I bet you are a TOUGH negotiator when you buy a car. Sticker price says 25,599, I'll pay you an even 30k, take my offer or leave it!

If seniority is so important, why did one leave their last job to start at the bottom of either swa or at? If seniority is so important why does a very senior FO bid to the captain seat? It is all about the $$$$$ plain and simple.

And you are a swa fo now, and will be one after the merger. No one cares about your view point or needs your input. The Trannys are smart folks.... it will be worked out.

What MERGER?

He is an FO that makes a lot more money then the Delta dude he was calling out, and probably you too. I doubt he is an FO still or in that case much longer.

Crash Pad,

I think your numbers, even at worst case, are a little low. Not starting a fight, I am just saying with the pay rate (remember trips, not hours and 105+ is the average with the ability to easily make and extra 10 - 30 trips/month without a lot of extra work), benefits etc. will bring the monthly difference to a bit more than you stated.

That is one of things I love so much about our pay - I can make 100TFP and have a ass-ton of time off or I can still have boat-load of time off and get an additional $1500 - $4000/month if I work smart and not hard. The beauty is to set your goal at 100 trips/month and everything else is graaaavy. BTW, personal experience - the bennies are so choice for the family.

Sorry for the creep........my d!ck is bigger than yours and I fly it like I stole it beotch!

Whoa!!! More Delta dudes? Gonna tell us how great it worked out for u? Tell us again about your theory on the "one size fits all" solution for our SLI. Thats right OUR SLI not yours. Did I chime in on your SLI talks = no. Are you jealous about SWA?

Tranny dudes are smart, it will work out - without the Delta boys input.

I fly with ex-NWA guys every trip out of DTW, and I talk to them all the time about their SLI and their feelings on the merger. Some are ticked a bit, but most have gotten over it. They like the new airline now, have more choices, have better pay, and have moved on mentally away from the SLI. You will too eventually.
OYS

Wow...for once i agree with what OYS says. These same words will soon be spoken in reference to Trannies and their feelings on the SLI. It may sting a bit at first, but soon the better pay, more choices, etc will help them mentally move away from their feeling too.

Arbitrators won't see it that way. You will get a joint contract first (all successful recent mergers have done that, and USAir did not), and then your pay will be equal at that point. From there a SLI will be formed, OYS

Well, OYS, this clearly shows how little you know about this acquisition. First, there will not be a joint contract. Even AT ALPA acknowledges this fact. SWAPA will be the survivng union. Our CBA doesn't allow for re-opener in this case. Second, the PA which is the topic of this thread clearly states that the SLI will come before any portions of the SWAPA contract are extended to trannies. It further states that the length of time between an ISL and our pay/benefits depends greatly on the method by which the list is reached.

Feel free to respond with whatever uninformed bs you can think of and continue to prove to everyone how little you know about this acquisition.

This is not your fight OYS and you don't know what both sides know.

OYS:puke:

The guy is a frickin TOOL! My bet is that he is a call sign kernal and definitely wears not only the hat, but also has long sleeves.

I'm not posting what I expect or would be willing to accept. You're throwing your coworkers under the bus for 2000 lousy bucks/month.

I think its actually more like a lousy 4000+ a month. We are all smart enough to know that he speaks for one.

We also know Ty, that you want everything (cus you deserve everything) We know you are looking forward to the arbitrators’ hearing the case.

Which, in my opinion after reading the side letters and PA = the hard way.

I am glad Air Tran has the only "official" union member assigned to comment on Flight Info regarding the Acquistion. Haven't seen many SWAPA folks appointed as such..wonder why?

I haven't seen any AirTran pilot here claiming to be a union official.

Ty you're really just pissed off cause Crash Pad is about 2000 times funnier than you are. His posts add levity to a situation that isn't going to be decided on this message board or any other message boards. YOUR posts are the more damaging ones by making AirTran pilots look like they are on raiding party ( and it only takes one bad apple to ruin it for everyone). I get it. We don't want to give a public appearance that we as a group would settle for less. That it could be used against us. How bout you send Crash a PM next time and stop acting so butt hurt.

Hmmm.

Southwest Airlines Co. (Southwest) is a passenger airline that provides scheduled air transportation in the United States. As of December 31, 2010, the Company had 548 Boeing 737 aircraft serving 69 cities in 35 states throughout the United States. The Company provides point-to-point, rather than hub-and-spoke, service. During the year ended December 31, 2010, approximately 73% of the Company’s Customers flew non-stop, and the Company’s average aircraft trip stage length was 648 miles with an average duration of approximately 1.8 hours. As of December 31, 2010, the Company served 460 non-stop city pairs. On September 26, 2010, the Company entered into a merger agreement providing for the Company’s acquisition of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (AirTran). In November 2010, the Company terminated its agreement with WestJet to offer connecting service between the United States and Canada.

What MERGER?

He is an FO that makes a lot more money then the Delta dude he was calling out, and probably you too. I doubt he is an FO still or in that case much longer.

I hope he does. It will give us a target for section 6. Would you like to compare luvs rates, retirements, workrules etc. vs. the rest of the Majors from its inception (1973-ch11 contracts)? Truthfully, I am thrilled that y'all are finally at an decent rate vs. slightly better than a non-sched or good commuter. Our managements won't be able to use your pay and workrules as an excuse anymore.

We also know Ty, that you want everything (cus you deserve everything) We know you are looking forward to the arbitrators’ hearing the case.

That's not true. Like I have said, I don't know what I think is fair, because all the information is not in yet. Regardless of what I think we deserve, I support the Merger Committees and I hope they can come to a mutually agreeable SLI,

Raiding Party? GMAFB. I didn't ask for this merger, I would be fine without it. You assclowns who are falling all over yourselves because you didn't get hired and now want a second bite of the apple are the real embarrassment here. Thank God there are only a few of you.

No we will just compare, now, today. Not bad, I'd say!

It seems that no matter the out come you want to burn the SWA house down. No need to reply as this is fact.
