I put a "No Codeshare" sticker on my bag 2 days ago. EVERY flight attendant I ran into, including my crew, said, "What's codeshare?" or "....So that's bad? How? I heard it was good."

The wildcard, yes like, "You're a wildcard Maverick, you fly by the seat of your pants," is the military contingent. They have no airline experience to compare SWA to and they have no Section 6 experience. An undetermined number will vote NO because they've been told how horrible it is here, and many will vote YES because they will follow the shepard over the cliff. Who knows. One thing I do believe is that it will be 65% YES and 35% NO

Sorry to hear that, I'm hearing the same thing from my friends there, that the codeshare is an immediate non-starter.

Loss of Scope, in any form, should be VERY obvious to anyone looking in as a big problem...

Military people are by nature more supportive of the team and the big picture as a whole. From what you guys are saying, it sounds like the company is giving you a great deal (considering these tough economic times.) It sounds like SWA gets money for nothing by codesharing.

If I were in your shoes, I'd totally vote for it. But then again, I would want to see my company do well.

Your right Military people are more supportive of the team in general - they are good followers. Having served 8 years many of my friends "think" they have a better view of the "big picture" but in reality that is where your logic is flawed. The "big picture" is pushing for the collective good of your pilot force. In other words "if a 737 can fly there then no way to code share". Don't give up your jobs folks to lower paying folks our whole profession is counting on you keeping the bar in place where you heroically set it.

It is true that the majority of military aviators do not trust the union. I see it here every day.
