What's the deal with ACY? Is that a new domicile? TDY? I reckon that would be a very unpleasant commute.

Maybe a "hard" commute, but the ACY lines have 20 or 21 days off and you can get a line straight out of training. Not bad for a new hire and it is all voluntary. If you move there you are home every night.

I spent 55 dollars and a whole day filling out all the crap on airlineapps...

You know it is free to fill out the application for Spirit? I guess when you can't figure out the application, it is pretty hard to get hired.

Next class after 6/25 is the first week of October--firm. However there may be a September class or two.

All I was trying to say is that it is a long process. It is not simply send a resume and see what happens, it is a complete application with a ten year history. I paid because I do not want to fill it out more than once should I decide to apply elsewhere.

Apparently I am in the minority, but I just think that if you want that much info on an application site that charges, you should state what your actual minimums are. Otherwise it appears to be collusion with the website owner to generate more revenue from hopefuls who in reality do not have a chance.

I know that airlines have stated and realistic minimums. That is a fact of life in this industry. I just think the stated minimums should be the actual minimums. It is my opinion, it ain't changing. You're opinion might differ, but thruthfully I have become bored with this.

I feel your pain, but for your argument to be valid, the hiring airline would have to interview and hire everyone who met the minimums. Having low published minimums allows some lower time, but highly achieving, highly recommended pilots a chance at the job. You (and I for the record) may not like it, but that's the way they work. If you're bored, why bother continuing the discussion?

What are the posted minimums?

FlightTime:
Minimum of 2500 hours total pilot time in fixed wing aircraft, and at least 750 hours in multi-engine aircraft (at least 50 hours flown within the last 12months). Experience in airlines or turbojet aircraft is preferred.

CP has said that 1000 turbine/PIC is a must
