Per share price doubled, after the ten-for-one reverse split. Do the math.

I'll be honest when it comes to that stuff it is above my pay grade, but skw does have to buy x amount of shares at $6.79. Guess we would have to look at how many shares were being bought today vs 2008. My other points are valid we at xjt are not your enemy and have a lot to offer as a work group

No, some people don't.

What is the problem? ASA bought Express Jet...their lists will be merged.

If ASA is the entity that makes the purchase of Express Jet, what is there to talk about here?

Have you even read ExpressJet's contract and holding company letter?

Have you even read ExpressJet's contract and holding company letter?

I have.

You mean this part, right?

No contract or other legally binding commitment involving the transfer of ownership or
control pursuant to a successorship transaction, whether by sale, transfer or lease of
Holdings or substantially all of its assets, will be signed or otherwise entered into by
Holdings unless it is agreed as a material and irrevocable condition of entering into,
concluding and implementing such transaction that the obligations contained in this
letter will be assumed by the successor. Holdings shall give notice of the existence of
this letter to any purchaser, transferee, lessee, or assignee. Such notice shall be in
writing with a copy to the Association, at the time the seller, transferor, or lessor
executes a definitive agreement with respect to a transaction as herein described.

But look:

For purposes of
this paragraph, a successor or assign shall be defined as an entity which acquires all or
substantially all of the assets or equity of Holdings
through a single transaction or multistep
related transactions which close within a 12 month period.

In the case we're taking about, that entity is ASA.

I'm not a lawyer, but I don't think this letter binds Skywest Inc (as owner of ASA) to merge all of it's airlines as a condition of purchasing XJet.

I wouldn't count on a federal judge demanding merger of all 3 lists...that's just silly.

I wouldn't even expect this to go before a judge...

I think your right John, we might have to wait for SKYW guys to vote in ALPA before we talk about one list unfortunately. My source here at XJT says the same thing! We will need very strong language in our new JCBA with regards to our whipsaw situation with the west employees.

Don't hold your breath on that OO ALPA vote.

A merge of all 3 would be ideal....maybe too ideal. I for one would like to see an in house collective of representation if that were the case. But its one day at a time from this point on. One thing is for sure, Skywest Inc. does not make "Bad" business decisions.

Buying Scenic Airlines comes to mind...

These are mix emotions. I dont know how to feel, just like this forum today seems so full of mixed emotions. Some part of me feels like they talk about benefit insurance cuts for SKW side employees, yet we can afford to buy other airlines, Buyaaahhh!

But another side says... this could be a good oportunity for all involved SKW/ASA/XJT. Pilots are very cut throat sometimes, lets all pull together, we are all in this "trade" together, and our collective (not individual) skills are valuable to .Inc.

I sure hope SKW side pilot group could do more, but being non-union does not help the common interest of the other pilot groups involved in this case. Good luck, and my sincere best wishes to all the pilots from ASA and XJT.

I'd like to thank Atlantic Southeast Airlines for giving me something to keep me busy on my 29 hour layover in Dayton. Kudos Brad. On a side note, dont use the remote in room 427.....just sayin

So how are the lists going to merged? Strictly DOH? Will this enable someone at ASA in ATL to bid over and fly out of EWR or such?

Should be interesting, I doubt the one for one will work since XJT has like 1000 more guys than we do.... I don't thik they'll take the bottom 1000 going under our last guy, yes we bought them but that's just unethical in my opinion.

Kind of reminds me of the BizEX/Eagle merger.. DOH.. BizEx Saab Captains became jet Captains realy quick!!

The same contract that lead to you being BOUGHT for LESS than SkyWest originally proposed to buy you for two years ago?

Ahhhh yes yet another pilot that thinks if he gets paid to much or has good QOL the company will fail. It was NOT the contract of the pilots that led to XJT being aquired. I WAS poor decisions by management. Maybe you should just call up your company and demand less pay just to make sure your company doesnt get bought.

XPOO isn't a pilot! He's a dispatcher, and is located in our headquarters where they supply unlimited:laugh: free frosty mugs of Kool-Aid on tap!!

Skywest airlines is in the merger buisness as well. Prob Gona pick up assets from Mesa and maybe another airline to grow, no pilots, it let's th get around the union. It was stated in the stockholders call that they were in the process if growing.
