I worked there in june 02-dec.03. Loved it. It is not for everyone I know.

I'll shoot my mouth off about whatever I feel qualified to shoot it off at. I don't care how many posts someone has, it doesn't automatically make someone right.

That's quite correct; post numbers do not imply, nor ensure correctness, nor has any such assertion been made here.

You should always verify what you get here, or anywhere else, including in person. That is your responsibility. If you do receive advice, however, and elect to ignore it, then who have you left to blame?

Avbug, I agree with you, and my post was by no means a knock on you, just the idea of post count equaling truth. I know you said you don't think very highly of Sheble's, and that is fine. I do however become irritated with the outrageous stories about their operation that all seem to be second hand from friends. As you said, you should always verify the info you get on here, or anywhere else.

Hey pipers, I think you did one too many turns around a point at UVSC! Shebles is the best bang for the buck! Hands down!!!!!!!!!:smash:

My own observations are not second hand, and in fact, come in part from conversations with the owner and resident examiner.

Best bang for the buck, if you're dealing in a foriegn devalued currency and renting poorly maintained equipment and don't expect much in return. If you have your standards set a little higher than bottom of the barrel, you might try looking elsewhere.

I was not speaking of your experience, you said earlier that your dealings were first hand and I don't doubt it. It is things like this that I was referring to:

They have a code word for when the FAA shows up on the ramp. When you hear it fly to another airport and call back for the all clear. I had a buddy up there lose a flap in flight, it just rotted off (not easy to have happen in AZ).

That I haven't seen and can't support based on personal observations, but Travelairs filthy with leaking oil an missing on both engines as they depart, I have, and the owner himself told me he advises new pilots to falsify their logs in order to get hired.
