HopefuIly, they will do the right thing and turn them down ,too. After all ,they told the U MEC no way on the J4J proposal several years ago,did they not? I know the pilots there would like to get out of their Dash 8's, but I like to think they are smart enough to see the "red herring" that this will become should they say yes to managements offer to fly those things for 50 pax RJ rates.

Plain and simple. We won't fly them for 50 seat rates.

We did sign on for the J4J thing. I won't mention what happened next.

I'm not sure any of us at PDT really care what we fly. We just want to do it for what the flying is worth. We'd also love to have our management not go out of their way to make us miserable, AND WE WANT OUR !#$%@%$#@ APU'S TO WORK!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Well PSA fell apart.........The PSA MEC has accepted all terms for the CRJ-900 proposal and without a ratification vote from the pilot group.

Very, very sad.
 
Alright guys, here it is from the horses mouth.

The MEC sent this out to a pilot vote with a negative recommendation. There are more reasons to vote no on this then there are to vote yes. The company at this point wont even talk to the pilot group at this point and something needed to be done.

The only people who stand to benefit from this are :

1) The J4J's. They all get slotted and if you didnt know this, the first 10 900's that come on line would be staffed ONLY by JJ's.

2) Senior FO's. For the obvious reason that they get to upgrade.

3) Senior Captains. Why not, they arent going to be here much longer anyway and with the way that the company trys to scare us into going out of business its viewed by them as job security.

The rest of us are all totally screwed by this. Its an insult and a slap in the face if there ever was one. More so for work rules then the pay, but that definitely needs to be addressed as well.

For the sake of your future careers and to help stop the race to the bottom please vote NO when you get your ballot.

Awac has already told their management to ******************** off to a B rate for the NWA flying stating that "we will not take away anyones flying and support the race to the bottom" We need to follow suit for the sake of this industry.

Remember your management will get a pay raise based on the size of the fleet. The people who really do the leg work here will not. Management already gets more then enough. Its time to say enough is enough and try to get a fair shake.
 
Thats great news. Its good that the MEC is putting it out for a vote. The pilots asked for a vote and they got it. It's exactly how the system should work. Now its upto the pilots to decide whats best for them. Don't be influenced by AWAC, PDT, and all the other pilot groups. It all comes down to whats best for you guys and nothing else.

Just the kind of STOOGE Mgmt Loves. Look towards your future, not how fast you can get into a larger plane. Makes no sense.

Well sounds like (3) large groups of people who have little to loose and lots to gain. I think we all know how that vote will go.

Im no stooge my friend. Just a pilot that knows that its important to be able to vote on issues that concern you. If the group doesn't want to vote on anything then they would say the MEC is authorized to make deals or not in their place without ever voting. Im siding with the pilots im saying they have the right to vote on their future thats all. If they vote yes then so be it thats the way it is.
 
If given the chance, PDT would vote to fly those airplanes... At the same 90 seat rates mainline will fly the E190's for. A 90 seater is a 90 seater regardless of which certificate it is flown on. Period.

IMHO, that CRJ "mothership" is a mainline airplane and belongs there. Anyone who argues otherwise is a danger to mine and everyone's careers.

I hope the PSA pilots do the right thing here. You will fly a 90 seat airplane. Get paid like 90 seat pilots. You won't be able to negotiate that rate later, no matter what you think. Once you give management that inch, they will take that mile... And miles and miles and miles.

Your pilot group did the wrong thing in J4J/BK part I. Don't sell yourselves and your WO brothers out... AGAIN!

Remember... If U group wants to put those airplanes at PSA it will happen NO MATTER WHAT YOU ARE PAID. Don't let them pinch pennies using your lives.

Actually not so. There are only 80 JJ's out of a pilot group of around 480. The super senior guys are actually not that high in numbers maybe around 30 or so that would go for it. The senior FO's (I actually know a few of them that even though it would mean their upgrade are still saying NO) yes, there are several that will vote yes here but the majority of the pilots who will vote stand to gain nothing.

I hope you are correct sir, often what people say to your face and what they say in the privacy of a ballot differ though. I would guess anyhow

This is bad news. The pilot group WILL pass this and that is to bad because if they turn it down they WILL get the airplanes and a better pay rate. -Bean

So why not offer to fly them for free to get them on property, then work on the pay in a few years?
