Pinnacle pilots vote 99.39% in favor of a strike. With 87% participation.

Pretty much sums it up.

Hard to believe that a few people still think about coming here. I guess they would be the .61%.

We at ASA did that 3 years ago, and it didn't do anything except give ALPA some material for their press releases.

Thanks for the words of support.

I find it very significant, and am very proud of our pilots.

Our BOD and senior management now know where we stand. It will only get more expensive for them.

I hear the familiar tune of the beating of chests... *THUMP* *THUMP* *THUMP*.

Good luck. Y'all can either bring those pay rates up, or cave and be the next Mesa. We'll give you as much support as your group gave us.

Where does Pinnacle stand in terms of negotiations? Have they discussed any of the money items in the contract yet? Are they in federal mediation yet? If so, any talk of being released to the cooling off period? Just trying to see what chapter you're up to in the Red Tail Regional vs. Management syllabus. Contract disputes suck.

Good luck to you PCL guys. It will be a win for every pilot in our country if you guys can raise up your contract. You DO have the support of other pilot groups.

The pendulum is still over on Management's side. It's been on the pilot's side before, and things have been much better for labor in the past. I think it's starting to swing towards the pilots side again (albeit slowly) . You can either fight, despite the odds being against you, or you can just roll over and fall asleep. You guys have taken another step towards fight, and I wish you success.

Yeh, we'll see what happens..

As sad as it is, a strike vote in this day and age is just another phase of contract negotiations...

Yeah means absolutely nothing. Don't get excited for no reason.

My point, exactly. Keep fighting, don't start beating your chests yet. Be VERY SAFE 100% OF THE TIME. Get it? You'll have a contract in no time. ;)

Exactly! It took 5 years but ASA pilots finally got together and flew "by the book". Do exactly what your POH or FOM says. Taxi at a safe walking speed. If ANYTHING is broken, write it up. (do a search, there is a LOT on a CRJ that breaks a lot). It took just under 1 month of doing this and magically we had a contract TAd. With that % of a strike vote you should all make this happen. What was participation %?

Its a moral booster to the guys flying the line, and with the Bush regime leaving office we airline pilot peons may soon have strike leverage back.

A 99+ strike vote isn't going to change things drastically but it does tell management that even if our pilots are backed into morgages and debt they are fed up enough to become fatalistic about there jobs and strike regardless of their personal finances because this company has sucked the life out of 99+% their employees.

so where does the pncl pilot group stand now? where in the process is everything? mediation board? close the 30 days of cooling off?

Excellent job, guys. Stand up to those sons of bitches and get what you deserve.

I'd say 1.5 years from anything exciting happening.. ;)

A stike vote is like french kissing your grandmother.

BTW did they do a seat check when Pinnacle slide the RJ in the dirt today?

Obviously they didn't do a panty check in your mothers drawers, or they would have found the stain you crawled out of...

Yes, they did. When all was said and done, there were two seats for the crew and a sliding jumpseat for an XCM up front. There's also 50 seats for passengers in the back and a flight attendant jumpseat as well.
