Nice that you used the word "loyal" we do have loyal customers. Our load factors are up baby! up!! Way up!!![/quote]

Wow, sounds like you are not only drinking the co. kool-aid, you fell head first into the kool-aid pool. Every single airline in the business has record load factors right now, not just SW.

Record loads = Record Profits ?

why not CHAOS now???? why wait 15 days???

...........The union said the imposition of those terms would be its trigger for what it calls CHAOS, for Create Havoc Around Our System. The union has described the tactic as using random, unannounced strikes on certain flights or certain gates.

It's a way to disrupt a carrier without gambling on shutting down the entire airline -- a gamble flight attendants might lose. However, the AFA said it would give 15 days notice before any strike, under an agreement its predecessor union made with Northwest.

What better service at WN? Your inflight entertainment system? Your assigned seats? Inflight meals? What better service?

We don't need any of that if you treat the customer the right way to begin with. Also having all of that on your airplane won't do crap if you treat the customer like crap.

Why stay at a Disney Hotel when the Doubletree in Orlando has more amenities? You're in a customer service industry if you didn't know, or maybe your airline hasn't found out yet.

If that is the case, then why is WN experimenting with assigned seating on a limited basis? Sounds to me like WN senior mgmt might be having a different idea.

AFA-CWA Gives Northwest Airlines 15-Day Strike Notice

CHAOS ™ To Begin on August 15
OUTSTANDING !!

F*ck you, Steenland.

320, you're smoking crack, as usual.

You're ranting that it's the fault of the LCC's that you just "had" to sign that concessionary POS contract.

Then you go even FURTHER and blame it on the employee wages.

You are simply clueless... Southwest has one of the highest crew costs of ANY U.S. carrier, yet they STILL manage to be low-cost in their OPERATIONS. Something Northwest has yet to figure out how to do.

Then almost all the airlines start announcing record PROFIT this last quarter, NWA being one of the lone holdouts for earnings reporting. Don't you find that somewhat odd? I have $20 bucks that says NWA posts a profit for the last quarter.

Lastly, grow some balls, and some self-respect, and stop blaming YOUR sell-out on other airlines. Take some responsibility and say you signed to save your job because you thought it was the best for you and your family. Does that make you a sell-out to the industry? Yep, but myself and others will be walking the line if and when it's required to hold up my end of the bar... and probably making more than you while I'm at it.

Later,,,

To all my NWA friends, ex-crashpad roommates, and friends at PCL and MSA who may suffer from the fallout, STAND STRONG! Doing the right thing is usually painful, but almost always worth it!

Please elaborate about which of my posts have been inaccurate.

You're ranting that it's the fault of the LCC's that you just "had" to sign that concessionary POS contract.

YOU are ranting, & I never said it was the LCC's fault, nor did I state that we HAD to sign anything.

Control yourself. I stated that the FINANCIAL DYNAMICS of the LCC model put pressure upon ALL Legacy carriers to restructure. Why the f*ck do you think UAL, DAL, USAir & NWA went into CH 11? Get A fukkin clue.

Then you go even FURTHER and blame it on the employee wages.

See above

You are simply clueless... Southwest has one of the highest crew costs of ANY U.S. carrier, yet they STILL manage to be low-cost in their OPERATIONS. Something Northwest has yet to figure out how to do.

We are now one of the largest LCCs.....along with USAir & UAL.

Lastly, grow some balls, and some self-respect, and stop blaming YOUR sell-out on other airlines. Take some responsibility and say you signed to save your job because you thought it was the best for you and your family. Does that make you a sell-out to the industry? Whatever, pal. I guess WE sold out, but the UAL, USAir & DAL guys didn't.
Whatever helps you sleep at night.
