We'll all know tomorrow! Stand by for NEWS!

I hate to be a kill joy but what can be so exciting, big, and a benefit to "everyone". The SSBJ is only cool for the senior guys. 757 or 767 is only for senior pilots as well. A new building in CHM is neat but not life changing. We are all in First Aviation's new building more than we would be in a new building at CMH. Moving to RDU doesn't really change anything either. We would just be doing sim in RDU instead of ICT, CMH or TOL. Everyone already knows the teamsters are on their way out. NJA-NJI merger is all but a given. The only option above that affects the CMH operations staff is the new building. The way this story is being hyped up, I expect B shares or better.

I'm still interested to see what the announcement will be. 24 hour notice for a hangar meeting sounds suspicious. We will see.

.... Everyone already knows the teamsters are on their way out. ...

Although word is getting around, there is a procedure still to follow and lots to get done--aside from pulling on the black boots...;)
Your fellow pilots need your help so please pitch in. It's solo time and I see blue skies ahead for the NJ pilots NJW

Staying in CMH would definately not benefit everyone. Living there for 20 years was 20 years too long. Time to go!

Eureka! I've got it! Uncle Warren is buying Day Jet, funding a nationwide rollout, and we won't have to airline to our jets anymore!!!!! Woo-hoo.

Except...we...would have to.....ride around in an Eclipse flown...by a pilot with...500 hours. Must warn others.....

I've been digging in my heels, lately, standing up for myself and encouraging others to do the same. I rather thought the present avatar (boot heel on the floor) was a good fit, but I can be a good sport. Just remember, y'all still have to respect my posts...;) NJW
I hope this doesn't refer to home troubles! Either way, I still respect you:D
I like this avatar so much more than the camel one!

In reference to the EP guy, at least I know it just wasn't me now. He11, I'm the nicest guy in the world!

NO, we fly ourselves in the day jet, sounds good to me!

Gutshot,

You wouldn't have to worry about "airlining" on an Eclipse either way. Wouldn't that be an interesting trip? An Eclipse flying over to Tokyo or Hong Kong?! :D

Home troubles... not at all, sorry to confuse you, 'Terry. I'm referring to the word-twisting fudspinner that keeps unjustly sniping at me. Background info on the camel avatar: One of the (few) rude anti-union posters had (falsely) accused me of running a jihad against management. One of the pilots, whose cause I support, pointed out to him that I was rightfully posting in accordance with the non-political definition of jihad--a crusade or struggle. It's a fact of (frac) life that many pilots in the industry are paid less than the going rate. In recognition of their struggle for professional compensation, and in defiance of the one who twisted my posts, I used a photo from our assignment in Egypt. I didn't get around to changing it after the jihad complaints were thwarted--sorry. I agree it looked odd if you didn't know (or forgot) the reasoning behind it.

You have Hispeedflyer to thank for the boot avatar. He imitated a pirate in one of his posts and it reminded me of my new "pirate" boots. It then occurred to me that the boots fit my belief that... Those blocking progress should be given the boot.

Credit and thanks go to my husband for his help in making the boot avatars which I use to illustrate my point in a fun way. I'm glad you guys approve...:p and I'm pleased to be a respected member of the online frac community. :) Thanks for the neighborly chat. NJW

Back to the original topic of this thread:

Friend of mine who also works at NJ and lives in CMH was contacted to reveal some sort of static display at the hangar meeting later today. Interesting......

Well done...thanks to CNN and the like, the word has become something nefarious.

Back to your normally scheduled program.

Tokyo? Hong Kong? Let's check the tally. Nine years, Tokyo: 1 Hong Kong: 0 You presume I'm an International Bubba. Not so. Anyhoo.....

My apologies

I apologize, to those that care, for being rude and insulting. My frustration got the better of me. I try to be an upbeat person and prefer to see the positives that happen here. Every advancement, whether it is an A/C delivery, training program, or new toy for the airplanes, makes life better and easier for all of us in some way. Every new person hired as a result means more job security and stability. Every net A/C delivery means more bidding potential and security. Every new training program means a safer and more streamlined experience, ultimately easier and better. All new toys for the A/C means less work for us and a safer, better operation.:pimp:

I rarely look short term because I am here for the long haul. I know that there are numerous things that are going to come out today and in the weeks to come. In my mind, they are all very significant and very good news. I think it is sad that some find no pleasure or satisfaction in their lives and work. Some of you seem to be angry all the time and for no reason. Or you're angry about something that happened years ago and are now bitter towards the company or individuals. If this describes you, my suggestion is look for another job or at least a good therapist. Life is too short and we are all sick of listening to you whine.:bawling:

The reason I haven't come out and spilled what I have been told publicly, is because I promised that I wouldn't. I will not go against my word. It's not a game, it is called integrity. Yes, I am teasing you with the anticipation. So sue me! Do you still wrap your christmas presents?:p

I will make a deal with you. If what comes out in the next few weeks can not be considered good news in some shape or form, you can hunt me down and beat me with 2 X 4s, walking tall style (the original, not the rock version).

I agree. Those NJ pilots who are in CMH today are lucky to be at the right place, right time for the big announcement. If said pilots are members here, please be good (online) neighbors and give us an eye witness account. It doesn't have to be word for word, but don't leave out any of the details...;) My husband is actually in CMH so you'd think I have my own source. Alas, he's been too busy to talk. NJW

Thanks, Captain Dad! You made some good points. I prefer to focus on the positives and move forward, too. I'm also well aware that lots of work gets done behind the scenes, even in seemingly small projects, (remember appearances can be deceptive) so my thanks to all involved in the soon-to-be-announced big news...:)

NJAWife,
Now so much makes so much more sense! I feel a little more educated in here! And I thought that I had reached the pinnacle of knowledge:laugh: ! Back on subject, my bet is an order for 50 new planes that start delivery in 2012...
