CD, this can be a tough crowd for a messenger with good news and a positive attitude. I've been in your shoes several times: Reporting about my husband's work with SU and their determination/talent to win a fair contract. (done) Sharing early news about UTC designed STEP making training better (done) Talking about the shift in attitudes as they started to happen (done) Explaining that IBB was good for the pilotgroup (done) Suggesting that the NJA pilots were ready to solo (coming soon to a shamrock near you...;) ) Each time I've been met with varying degrees of skepticism, but it seems to be waning as the pilots come to realize that I truly do have a front row seat because of my husband's leadership involvement. For what it's worth guys, nothing on CD's list surprises me; the joint committees have been busy. When you consider how far the total group has come since 2004, it's easy to be optimistic about the future. Surely the above mentioned track record has earned a show of faith in both Company and Union leadership? It should also serve as a reminder that the NJ pilots (and their families) are capable of making positive changes in the industry. I hope so because the next big challenge is almost upon you...;) You're ready for it! NJW

Only 67 million?? In company recurrent the president said Raleighs opening number was 100 million dollars in incentives. Skybus got 57 million and they are a start up with no history. We got ripped off.

It was only possible because of the union, right? The only reason for any success at NJ if you read this propaganda, it is all because of 1108.

Forget the massive losses sustained during the negotiations, the stagnant nature of new deliveries and the very public statements by RS about his disappointment as he lists the union as one of the items that held the company back. He publically will state otherwise now because he's a smart man and knows politically he has to, but you gotta know that he's still not happy about needing to overcome the obsticle that the union presented. There isn't faith in union leadership, are you crazy? They are there and as a manager you learn to just manage around them. Something that RS seems to be able to do better than most.

It's funny how the exact same pilots that worked for the company before the CBA but refused to step up to the plate would suddenly do it after. Why would they do it after the CBA and not before?

It's all about the money, and I have to laugh my a$$ off that once again, NJW doesn't say a single word about any employee group except the pilots.

She doesn't have a shred of respect or even take the time to recognize those that made other career choices.

I think that a new campus will be terrific for the company, and CMH is a very affordable place to live compared to other regions of the country such as RDU. It will certainly help the company and all the employees that are required to keep the operation running smoothly every single day.

I'm sure the 6 sims already at the CMH FSI will be transferred over and my guess is that they can pump out some more in the next 2 and a half years before it opens. Even after it opens I'm sure it won't have all the sim beys filled right away.

CapDad what kind of timeline did Dave give on the Step and Jepp implementation?

This is great news even if we only get half of what's promised over the next few years.

Either way we are in exciting times.

There was so much being discussed that I either missed it or he didn't give exact dates. The details that he stated and the parts completed made me believe that it won't be long. He made it sound like it was ready for submission to the feds. I think the biggest and slowest obsticle, as usual, is the FAA. I try to stay optomistic. It is very hard to get stuff done fast and done right all at the same time.

B19, you need to change your sign off. Any idiot knows Lorenzo is/was a lying piece of dung. Anyone who would quote him and expect someone to believe it is on drugs.

Good idea, Captain! The poisonous word-twister is slithering from thread to thread spewing venom. The smell alone is sickening! Yes sir, I can see that. And some poor unsuspecting soul might get bitten. Right, sir! Now slog through the Fud and put up a sign. Yes sir!

WARNING TO THE CREWS: WORD TWISTERS ARE VENOMOUS. IF YOU ENCOUNTER ONE KICK IT OFF THE BOARD.

Last time I checked the Union was made up of PILOTS. We pay the dues, it is their job to look out for the dues paying members.
I don't expect my accountant to worry about anyone else's taxes but mine when he is on my dime. Same goes for my Doctor.
Go away with this boo hoo for the other guy. One minute you are a right wing nut job capitalist, the next you are going socialist.
Go back under your bridge troll.

I don't see how that's fair. She is married to an NJA pilot so her viewpoints are quite naturally going to aligned with the pilot group. I don't think from reading her posts that she is being or has been disrespectful about other people's career choices. She's just speaking honestly from the perspective of someone who has been married to a pilot for a long time and had to deal with what it is like to be subject to the roller coaster that is the aviation industry.

The same as a three inch long 3/4" wrench.

A USELESS TOOL!

CD, you nailed it! The word-twister's credibility is as low as a snake's belly and his attacks reek of desperation akin to a union-buster losing his bonus. 'Auburn, well said and every word is true. I also look forward to going to CMH someday and touring the Company. I've heard it's a fascinating place. Thanks for the gracious post on my behalf! :)

Frac friends, the word-twisting, fudspinner is trying to stuff his words down my throat. I refuse to allow him to do that to me. Requesting your patience, I'd like to highlight references in my post that have been twisted into something they're not while reality is conveniently ignored by the one with an agenda.

.....Talking about the shift in attitudes as they started to happen... Those who follow along closely know full well that I was referring to the changed relationship between pilots and management. I presented the shift as a positive development. Explaining that IBB was good for the pilotgroup... The frac community knows that the NJA pilots and management voluntarily sat down together 3 years early to improve the 2005 contract for the benefit of all. For what it's worth guys, nothing on CD's list surprises me; the joint committees have been busy. I clearly gave credit to other employees in CMH for the recent successes and those on the drawing board now. When you consider how far the total group has come since 2004, it's easy to be optimistic about the future. By definition "total" includes everyone involved and my next sentence confirmed that. Surely the above mentioned track record has earned a show of faith in both Company and Union leadership? I made a bid for pilots to trust management. I could not have been more respectful than that considering that trust is the foundation of every good relationship. It should also serve as a reminder that the NJ pilots (and their families) are capable of making positive changes in the industry. I routinely show respect for pilots' families and give them the credit they deserve which is far more than B19 does. Lying hypocrites should be first in line to get the boot.

Thanks for the camaraderie and support,

There isn't any word twisting.

Post after post with you is the same thing. Never, unless I point it out, do you ever show any respect for the employees that chose other career paths.

You clearly have stated on these boards that other employees could have chosen to "invest" in their careers to be pilots but didn't, thus they are not entitled to an appropriate share of the payroll bucket.

You consistantly are insulting and disrespectful by ignoring the fact that the very airplane your husband flies when he is not busy volunteering for pay doing union business is scheduled, repaired, maintained, dispatched and completely supported by non-pilots that are equally as passionate about what they do as your husband is at what he does.

Without these people, not a single airplane would fly. Of course that wouldn't prevent a paycheck from coming into your home, as your husband gets paid to volunteer doing union chores.

Remember that Hitler wore black boots, and he thought he was doing the right thing too.

Of course that wouldn't prevent a paycheck from coming into your home, as your husband gets paid to volunteer doing union chores.

Gotta love projection. Substitute husband for yourself, and F&H for union, and there you have it. Carl Jung thanks you for being you.

I don't see how that's fair. She is married to an NJA pilot so her viewpoints are quite naturally going to aligned with the pilot group. She's just speaking honestly from the perspective of someone who has been married to a pilot for a long time and had to deal with what it is like to be subject to the roller coaster that is the aviation industry.

On a different thread she made the statement that others had the opportunity to "invest" in their careers but chose otherwise. When she writes candidly and not trying to dig herself out of the hole she's dug with her words, it's clearly the union against the rest of the company.

When I point these statements of disrespect out, she states that I twist words.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

She stated that FLOPS pilots must "win" a contract. It showed the adversarial opinion of union propaganda. In my opinion, as 1108 is on the property, they must negotiate a contract, because it's all about fairness. With NJW it's all about winning and losing. All I did was point out what she stated, and suddenly I'm twisting words.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

She continually talks about her husband "volunteering", yet admits he gets a stipend.

I don't know about you, but to me he's getting paid, and any time I've volunteered for a project, I didn't expect to get paid.

These are only three of many statements she has carelessly made showing how she spits out union propaganda.

THere is no word twist, nor is there a shred of Fear Uncertainty or Doubt in this post.

All I have done is point out that her attitude is not healthy for the industry. It's all about winning and losing.

Looks like someone doesn't like losing.

I smell fear... Time to go in for the kill.

Without these people, not a single airplane wo, fly.

B19, after reading your qoute above I am starting to think you are not a pilot yourself.

most people get a job to get a job, most pilots get a job flying because the love to fly.

B19's fixation

I don't know about you guys, but his fixation with NJW is kind of scary. It seems he can't post anything without referring to her. Almost like he is stalking.

Wouldn't surprise me if he has pictures of her boots spread throughout his lair. Or maybe he's sitting there wearing some himself. It's kind of like he has to suppress his dirty little thoughts about her with this drummed up anger and self-righteousness.

Gives me the willies thinking about what he's doing while he's sitting there pounding away on the keyboard. Make it stop...
