Hey guys,

I said the gun was legal. The federal ban was over. I totally agree. It was an AK47 and I think it is a cute nickname...as good as bridgeway bob...

Who is pretending he is still fired or has to pay to get his job back? I havent read that at all nor have i seen it-

Is this a rumor...

If you are referring to my comment about are you guys going to chip in to help him, I am sure your union rep has given you the full story about caveats etc.

If not ask your union guy for the rest of the story....

See this pilot group is wonderful indeed.. Helping out a fellow pilot who was wrongfully terminated!! And now helping out with the person from CRC(One of the fewfunctional departments in Netjets). I'm curious, did you folks up in the Casino pitch in when the scheduler punched a hole in the wall because he was angry and got suspended?

Sure we'll chip in.... I don't know why he would need it. He has many thousands left over from what people sent back in December and he never needed since he has been working another job this entire time.

We are chipping in right now to help H. R. from the CRC. Did you?

Gun,

Can you please tell me who H.R. is and what happened to him/her? Also where I could send a check to help out?

Hmmm? I'm not sure?

I'm not sure if we should do that on a public board.

I would like to tell you, but I don't know how without comprimising your indentity. (You would have to PM me and tell me who you are before I would give you the address)

She was a very nice person in Human resources. She was re-assigned during the hiring slowdown. She had some health problems and was terminated for reasons which I don't specifically know. A single mom with a small child.
We have in the pilot community "Paid it forward" for some of our brothers and sisters that have had unfortunate events occur.

When we heard of H.R's ordeal, we "paid it forward" because many of us consider her to be a part of our family.

Oh by the way, Jason didn't spend a dime he was given by the pilot group. He is transferring the money back into the 1108 (I think) so that it may be used in the future for any "family members" that may need it.

Obviously 214, you must not be a Netjets pilot? Very generous of you.

Gun how is your nephew doing? Could you please put a link to his website here so that all here can see how brave and courageous that he is!!

I do not think I would put a link on this board. He is the most severely injured soldier to return alive from Iraq. According to the Army. Worst case they have. If not for the great improvements in military medicine and air evacution... he would have died in Baghdad. The war will never end for his family because they care for him at home themselves... quitting their jobs to do so as he requires constant attention.

gun-

Prayers and good thoughts to your nephew.
I have had some family members injured in Baghdad as well. (obviously not as bad as your nephew) but we were grateful for air evac and landstuhl.

i thank all of them for keeping my children safe.

Yellow ribbons on my mailbox. Again.

Friend,

I appreciate that.

If you were to see this situation.... it makes it hard for nearly anything else in life seem significant. Bills, contract negotiations, etc.. It all doesn't matter.

Shot in the back of the head point blank by a terrorist less than 1 yr after graduation from HS.

It reminds us all the total insignificance of things dealt with on these boards. We wail and whine over the lack of fairness in life, but, in fact, some will die protecting our right to wail and whine.

Everyday we deal with the inconsequencialness of our lives, meaning to accomplish something but mostly falling short.

I read the other day of the bomber's mother (Rudolph) and found great empathy. She lives her day knowing she raised a terrorist bomber who thought he was accomplishing something by leaving a bomb in a group of people at the Olympics.

There is little we can say to those affected by these circumstances to reduce their grief or sadness. At least your nephew was doing and living in significance.
