Just wondering if anyone has gotten an email for interviews lately (within the past 3 weeks or so). I know there were a few guys last week talking about getting their app's accepted ~ mine was one of them ~ so I was just curious to hear if anyone got the interview invite. If so, what was your base, so we can "keep score".

Also, if any insiders have good scoop which domiciles they may be looking at next (if there's any indication).
 
Okay...glad you guys responded with that. I'm about 2 weeks swimming for TEB.
 
I no longer feel bad for myself Wankel. Dam, man... Have you emailed Derinda to update your times? That might be a good chance to say, "Hi, I'm still here. Any idea on a time frame?"
 
Thanks king...that is appreciated. While waiting for almost 2 hours to depart TEB last night, the other pilot I fly with waited inside the "new" FBO with the pax. He chatted with a couple of NJ pilots and told me that it seems to a man/woman, all of you guys are pretty happy. Now, if it was my turn to fly, I could've been inside talking first hand with the crew as well as waiting with the beautiful actress we were flying out of there. Dammit. She was gorgeous!
 
If it matters...I emailed a few days ago and they said they are not currently interviewing dallas...but they will let me know.
 
Yes they have. I do not know which domiciles they were interviewing for; maybe one or maybe all of them.
 
I was app accepted back in mid april.. PBI was my first choice... No call for interview yet.... I am upgrading at my current company on the CRJ 200 in the next couple of months..

What would you do.. Stay 121 get the PIC and move on there.. or take the NJ interview if it ever comes and start over at the bottom?
 
I guess it all depends on wanting to stay in 121 ops. If you do, then take the upgrade, build your time and apply to a major or national. If you've never had to sling your own bags, talk to your pax every leg, wonder where you're going to next...this might be a pretty big adjustment for 'ya. If you know you want to get into fractionals and understand that you will no longer be able to "hide" behind a door after boarding, then as always ~ seniority rules...get on as soon as you can.

I was 121 left seat at a pretty good regional (for what that's worth) before I came to Netjets. I can tell you one thing, the only time I'm breaking that suit out again is for a funeral or a wedding. I ain't never going back.

I did take a pay cut, but it isn't as much of one as you would think. With all the OT rigs built into the schedule and some other soft money you make quite a bit more than what the straight pay scale would suggest. This flying isn't for everyone, though. If you like planning on a certain overnight or just knowing where you are going, don't come here. The plan changes hourly, if not more. And the days can be long. The schedulers like to get their 12 hours out of you, even if that means sitting at an FBO backing someone else's flight up.

But the crews are great. The equipment is well taken care of. And for the most part, the pax are some nice people who treat you with respect.

I like it here. It's the type of flying I enjoy. A variable schedule that takes me into all sorts of airports. Last tour I went down to Congo Town, Bahamas. Don't think I would have made it there flying for an American 121 carrier. But come in with your eyes open about the schedule and the domicile system or you will be sorely disappointed.

Like pilotpat said, if your dream job requires the PIC, stay where you are and get it. If your dream job is NJA, focus your efforts on getting hired there. You could put an app in, no matter what, and then make your decision at the time you get an offer.

Dam floaties!! I stole mine from the kids...guess they'll have to wait, too! Hoping for something next week or so.
 
june interview

I applied last summer. Application accepted 10/07 for PBI. Got an email last Friday for a June interview. I am really looking forward to it and want it more than anything!
 
Well a big Congrats to you ScubaGirl. I haven't been waiting nearly as long as you, but its good to know you got the email. Who knows, maybe those of us waiting on TEB will hear something soon as it seems someone made a comment on the boards that they had a big bid come out a couple weeks ago. I'd love to post sometime in the next week or so that I'll see 'ya out in CMH!

I did.
I sent my resume in at the beginning of March. I received the application packet in early April. I typed the application and sent it in 5 days later.
I got the application accepted email on 5/7/2007. I got the interview invite 5/23/2007. My interview is in late June.

I put the domiciles in this order:
LAX, DAL, CMH, PBI, TEB

I'm currently living in DAL, but I am single with no kids or house, so I'm flexible. The email offered 4 interview dates, all in late June. They also had class dates listed for all of their domiciles, the earliest was July 5, the latest was in early Sept for DAL.
 
ScubaGirl & Daytona, Congrats to you both, hope to see the both of you here soon. I'm sure you'll do fine at the interview.

To the others keep the faith a New hire class of about 30+- just started Today.

Scubagirl, I'm possibly going down to keylargo next week doing a little diving being that I live in South FLA its an easy drive. Getting the option of doing this every other week is pretty nice, which I'm sure you will enjoy once you are here.

Anyone get the June 27/28 interview? The email I got said class dates for eraly July and early August. I think I'm gonna pull for the August date and take a few days off in between... Let just hope they make me an offer! :)
 
If ya don't take the earliest class date they offer you may be kiicking yourself in the ass later when you look at the seniority list every month.

Thanks Stingray! Being able to go scuba diving every other week is one of the reasons I want NJA. I usually dive from W Palm so it'd be perfect. Have fun in Key Largo. It was beautiful last time I dove there.

If you only wanted one domicile can you just put one or do you have to list all in the order you prefer. Like if one only wanted CMH can they do that?
