If your referring to the O2 requirement I'll have to disagree. NJ pilots wear them more than any company I have worked for. In fact the other companies I worked for it was widely accepted as the "most abused reg in the industry". I'm still waiting for one level of safety when it comes to this issue. Why is it safe for part 121 and 91k yet 135 it suddenly becomes unsafe? BS! It will never happen so we will continue to sacrifice our comfort for all of the card holders.

I guess the problem I have with your assessment was your use of the words "most pilot". I'm seeing the opposite on the road.

The best way to get rid of a dumb rule is by compliance not skirting. When requesting lower altitudes gets you called in to the chief pilot's office, wear the mask. When the pax freak out at you wearing the mask, seek a lower altitude. When an O2 service (they aren't always easy to get) inconveniences an owner, explain the reg politely.

A selectively obeyed law that is allowed to stand will be selectively enforced. Tyrants love such laws.

Is the Redhead our new spokesperson or what?

Good lookin and brains too! It doesn't get much better than that!

Oh yeah! Lots of pilots coming here! The number that comes to mind is 495????

Take care, Semore

Since when does "Waldo" deign to "talk to pilots"?

No place to leave comments. Shame.

We should caution, at every opportunity, those who believe whatever this guy or FoxB says, that this is all contingent upon cutting the pay of over-compensated pilots and making them pay for their own medical insurance.

It's one line of BS for Faux News and another for Labor.

I genuinely hate that guy. He is Fu, I mean Frank Lorenzo Jr.

Unless this is fixed, it looks like mgmt did a good thing with the Global orders-

G650 Won't Spread Its Wings at Aspen Airport

"Despite initially approving the operation of Gulfstream’s new flagship G650 at Colorado’s Aspen-Pitkin County Airport when it enters service, officials there have reversed their decision after a citizen’s group pointed out that the wingspan of the ultra-long-range business jet exceeds the width limit set by local code and theFAA."

You'd be surprised at how quick a rule like this can get changed!

But, it certainly wouldn't hurt a G650 owner to slum it every now and then, say in a G-550, so they know how the other have lives.....

Well, Yes and no...

"The OEM lists the G650’s span as 93 feet, 8 inches, less than the airport’s 95-foot-span limit; including the reach of the winglets pushes the overall width to more than 99 feet."

Global 5000, XRS, and 6000 Wingspan: 94 ft.
Global 7000 and 8000 expected Wingspan: 104.3 ft.

I won't be surprised if another furlough happens, but I would be surprised if it happens before we are heavily into negotiations. A furlough now would be a big negative for sales after all the "good publicity" of the recent aircraft orders and waiting until they can use the threat to try to cram in a crappy new contract could scare up enough yes votes before they furlough anyway- concessions never prevented a furlough.

Not gonna work ...

The Union is issuing an audio tape on endless loop we are to listen to in our sleep ...

"... Concessions don't save jobs ... Concessions don't save jobs ... Concessions don't save jobs ... Concessions don't save jobs ... Concessions don't save jobs ... Concessions don't save jobs ... I am at the bottom of the list and I would love for them to furlough me. With all of the training cycles coming up I don't see this happening. They will put the threat out there but it won't get the response they are looking for. Then again I could be wrong.

The suspense is killing me.
