You have to meet strict requirements though. Must be one of the chosen ones by Joseph Smith himself. You must lack all common sense and be able to only make decisions with your head up your a**. Further you must sleep with management and lack formal education so you can be brainwashed into believing you work for a "mainline". Additionally you must brown nose Chip so bad you'll be giving him his annual colonoscopy instead of the doctor.

Any polyps up there XPOO?

SkyWest is the only major US airline to have never had certificate action taken against a dispatcher. No other carrier can claim that, not even the one's that require a degree. And if you think I brown-nose CC, you must not have seen my avatar. Good day.

Case and point. You are a chosen one! Shouldn't you be shorting us fuel instead of trolling flight info?

You can thank ASAP for that. There's been plenty swept under the rug, you know it as well as I. I haven't received a speeding ticket in years, doesn't mean I don't speed, just that the cops haven't seen me. Or in the case of ASAP are prohibited from dinging me, just like you.

ASAPs dont sweep everything under the rug. I know you are trying real hard to back up your buddies, but let's be real.

And for Freebrd, a major airline is defined as an airline whose operating revenue exceeds $1 billion per annum. I believe SkyWest fits that mold. US Airways mainline does 1300 flights a day. Alaska does 800 flights a day. SkyWest does 1900 flights a day. Plus SkyWest flies to some of the most technical cities in the US. ASE, EGE, MMH, SUN, JAC, BTM, COD, CMX to name a few.

SkyWest pilots do, you do not. You are proof of what is wrong with this place. You actually believe you're something that you're not. Kinda like the little kid who pretends he plays major league baseball but in reality plays tee-ball. SkyWest is a REGIONAL airline, it is a bottom feeder, it strives to pay its employees as little as possible and make Chip as much as possible. You are a pawn in Chip's scheme, not some head hancho at a "major airline" you think you are in fantasy land.

All correct, you are defining the airline industry in general. The industry isn't nice, fair or good. It's actually like Major League Baseball, when its a game, they call it a business, and when it's a business they call it a game. The only reason that pilots and the employees are exploited is because THEY(the employees)allow it, all for the privilege of working in the industry. One small problem, the industry is showing its true nature and people are starting to stay away.

Problem #2:

Guys like XPOO who genuinely believe that their little regional sweatshop is a major airline and compares himself to UAL, DAL, AA and so on.

Her ya go,
XPooP is a dikscratcher, he knows it, he admits it, we also know it, period, dot, end of sentence. His relevance is very clear, and it is very small.
Now Genny Lee is a zit encrusted, booger eating, goober who lives in his moms basement and pretends to be a DAL pilot. BTW his mom is one of the most famous cat ranchers at DAL. You see in the olden days she was a F/A on the 727, on one of the layovers she got drunk with the F/E(career), and Genny was the result of that drunken freak show. She has been trying to recapture that lovin feeling every since, but with 14 cats and the Genny chained up in the basement, the best she can do is the DGS ramper, Uncle Steve.
XPooP is merely irrelevant, the Genny.............

It's no different at the majors. Many pilots at United, Delta, and American absolutely hate their jobs and the company they work for, and want to kill themselves (mostly with alcohol). The difference is they usually get paid more for being miserable. Pick your poison

It's definitely the major league. The problem is we have the Houston Astros management and payroll. What we would like is the New York Yankees management and payroll.

We don't even have that. We have the soccer mom that manages junior's tee ball team running the show coupled with an overzealous little league soccer coach (thats you XPOO) on a power trip.

You have described every regional front office that ever was. The only way to get to the top at any regional is knee pads and bloodlines, skills mean very little, in fact the ability to get to work every day is the baseline.
Anybody who lives in a backwater town in he middle of the desert and says "they like" it is either a meth cook or retarded.
Take your pick......

You have to submit an application just like everyone else. Here, you can start from the bottom and work your way up. Also, now you'll know who is responsible for all those aircraft swaps.

Are you really unable to understand the point of my post? If we just are glorified bus drivers, then what does that make a person who is required to do $h!t for that glorified bus driver? Get it now or do you need me to draw you pictures?

ASAPs dont sweep everything under the rug.

No, but a real ASAP program does prevent certificate action. You can thank ALPA for that by the way.

You do realize that Skywest's revenue are not indicative of their "real" revenue, right?

Is that new or old koolaid? Honestly, does these statistics make you feel better about yourself? If it is, then where are all the technical cities in Mexico, Canada, or the Caribbean?

Are you "Aspen Qualified" to do all the grunt work for those flights from your 3x5 cage Chip keeps you in in St George? He treats you like a mushroom, keeps you in the dark and feeds you sh*^.

Nah a Major airline is defined by being on the Majors board on FI, not on the Regional board like SKYW.

Amazing how people love to hate. Funny how I have 0 hatred towards other airlines. Especially not the Expressjet side of the house! No Delta here, but till then very happy at OO. I was fortunate enough to get hired at republic and Skywest in the same week, SkyWest was my first choice (plus all my friends at republic advised strongly against going there) so went with my first choice. Then again, it's FI so we are supposed to be miserable I guess just like evey other regional pilot out there. Sad part is, all bitter people working for regionals today will be bitter 777 reserves in 20 years. After a couple of years ill take SkyWest any day over <insert your regional here>. For what's it worth our ASE dx is very capable, I am very happy they look over our shoulders.

Flame away.

Just to clarify on the ASAP excuse... Skywest has only had ONE ASAP non-sole source report from dispatch in 6 years... I think thats pretty damn good!
