So what other kool aid do you guys drown in? I already know they tell you on day one that you are only there because you are the best. So what else do you have?

We have pride in the jobs we do, and we love working here. Unlike you. Villify us if you will. Try to offend us with mormon slurs (not even 10% of this office is mormon, btw). Make fun of how small and isolated St George is. Keep telling us we are failed pilots who yearn to someday be as miserable as you are.

I guess it does make you dispatchers feel better. What other useless statistics make you feel better? Major airline status (which is bogus), flying to "technical" cities and new ones like MIA, having a regional fleet number larger DAL, having the head of the largest aircraft leasing company on the BOD, no supposed dispatcher certificate action, etc. Yes, this all things I've heard you Skywest people brag about. I'm sure there are a lot more that aren't on the top of my head.

So what other kool aid do you guys drown in? I already know they tell you on day one that you are only there because you are the best. So what else do you have?

They also like to fly planes with tail numbers from other regionals

No, I get your point. It just doesn't offend me the way it does you.

Yeah right! It was you who was trying to offend by making the glorified bus driver statement, not me. I was just making the point that if we are glorified bus drivers, then what does it make a person who dispatches glorified bus driver.

So if you land an aircraft on a taxiway instead of a runway, will an ASAP sweep that under the rug? Or how about if you takeoff well below minto because you forgot to fuel?

And you are not getting this point either. But I'll try to point this out to you as we'll but my suspicion is that you will make another strw man argument. But the point is that just because there has been no certificate action, does not mean you are perfect, have never made any mistakes, or are better than anyone else. Get it now?

I don't make up the rules, I just point them out. You want to get technical only when it helps prove your point.

I suspect you don't get this one either. I'll just give you a hint on this one and see if you are bright enough to figure it out. It has NOTHING to do with the DOT's definition of a major airline. Do you know what I'm talking about now? If you do, please let us know.

See, maybe its you that doesn't get my point. As Homer pointed out, I don't believe you would categorize any of the cities we fly to internationally as technical. But while we are on the subject, why is XJT slowly losing all their Mexico routes to SKW?

Somehow you are better because you fly to "technical" airports, whatever that means. So I baited you into listing any international airports IF that's what makes you dispatchers feel better. Some Skywest dispatcher answer, hence it does make you dispatchers feel better. In other words, its not about international airports. That's just some random example I picked. I could've said mountainous airports instead. And I'm positive some Skywest dispatcher would have posted a list of all the mountainous airports that Skywest flies into that xjt doesnt.

You guys keep proving it over and over again.

That's great! I'm glad you have pride in your work. I do too. But that doesn't mean you have to doushe bag about it.

By the way, I've never said and will never hear me say any slurs about Mormons (I have friends who are Mormon), or that st George is small and isolated (although it is but that is not a bad thing), or that you are failed pilots. I don't believe or agree with any of that. I welcome dispatchers making the pilots job easier.

They also like to fly planes with tail numbers from other regionals

So are you saying that they use that as koolaid as well that they feed Skywest employees?

I'll put it in terms that even PBRStreetgang would understand. I'll help you get the poop from point A to point B, but it's still you who is driving the poop.

Got it, we should be making even more mistakes than we do now to catch up with the rest of the industry. Noted, and I will run it up the ladder to see what we can do.

Your airline's name has to be the one with the biggest lettering on the side of the aircraft? So what is the definiton of a regional? Does it entail flying routes like LAX/SFO? ORD/ATL? DEN/IAH? Here's some good regional routes for you...PHX/DSM, DEN/YMM, SLC/MSY, IAH/BFL, SFO/AUS, ORD/MSO, IAD/COS, LAX/TUL, MSP/PSC

My point is this...are Southwest dispatchers worried about having to dispatch a flight into/out of places like ASE, BTM, MMH, EGE, SUN? How about their pilots? No and no. Are Southwest dispatchers and pilots worried about flying into/out of international destinations? No and no. But you are going to somehow try to tell me that they are better than us because they dispatch/fly a bigger plane for more money?

That's great! I'm glad you have pride in your work. I do too. But that doesn't mean you have to doushe bag about it.

Are you sure about that, because all you ever do is bitch about your job. I'm pretty sure that makes you the bigger ******************************.

Then you completely contradict yourself. You almost had me there for a second.

I kinda caught the dumb from reading your drivel, but I believe he is trying to say that SkyWest is obviously doing something right when they have aircraft in their fleet with the tail numbers: YV, AS, CA, BR, PQ, AG, QX. Name me some regionals flying around with aircraft that have tail numbers that end in SW or SK.

Because united wants 70 seaters stupid. It has nothing to do with your superior dispatch "skills" you learned in trade school.

Let's see. It's not about leg lengths, destinations, ASMs, flights per day, fleet size or revenue. It really boils down to the size of equipment. Because it is much more respectable to fly an A320 or B747 for $80k/yr than a Barbie jet for $100K. It is also admirable to commute cross-country to reserve for the foreseeable future than to enjoy weekends and holiday with family and friends.

When you don't have a credible argument, just discredit the poster based on position rather than content.

Again, point being that it was YOU who is trying to insult the profession which you are the bitch. But I guess somehow that makes you feel better about yourself.

Got it, we should be making even more mistakes than we do now to catch up with the rest of the industry. Noted, and I will run it up the ladder to see what we can do.

No, not surprisingly, you don't get it. The point being that your assertion that Skywest has had no dispatcher certificate action doesn't make you better. But I guess somehow that makes you feel better about yourself.

Your airline's name has to be the one with the biggest lettering on the side of the aircraft? So what is the definiton of a regional? Does it entail flying routes like LAX/SFO? ORD/ATL? DEN/IAH? Nope, I'm not talking about the DOT's definition of a regional. I said that! Another hint, go any of read skywest's 10k report. Ad no, it doesn't have anything to do with flying PHX/DSM, DEN/YMM, SLC/MSY, IAH/BFL, SFO/AUS, ORD/MSO, IAD/COS, LAX/TUL, MSP/PSC. But I guess somehow that makes you feel better about yourself.

My point is this...are Southwest dispatchers worried about having to dispatch a flight into/out of places like ASE, BTM, MMH, EGE, SUN? How about their pilots? No and no. And what does that have to do with the price of tea in china? Never said they are better than you are. And I never mentioned anything about bigger aircraft or more money. It's you guys that keep throwing out the koolaid of the week to try to show you are better than us. It was you, in this thread alone, that brings up things like:

Glorified bus driver
aircraft swaps
Major airline status
No dispatcher certificate action
technical airports
XJT Mexico flights going to SKW
operating other regional's old aircraft
A list of long flights

But I guess somehow that makes you feel better about yourself.

Are you sure about that, because all you ever do is bitch about your job. I'm pretty sure that makes you the bigger ******************************.

There is a difference between bitching about my job and bitching about management. My job is pretty easy (thanks in part for dispatchers), despite management's incompetence.

Then you completely contradict yourself. You almost had me there for a second.

I think you are confusing me with someone else. But if I did say such things, point them out and I'll apologize for it.

I kinda caught the dumb from reading your drivel, but I believe he is trying to say that SkyWest is obviously doing something right when they have aircraft in their fleet with the tail numbers: YV, AS, CA, BR, PQ, AG, QX. I asked what other koolaid they were drowning you guys in. And he answered about operating other regional's old aircraft. So logically, the conclusion is that operating other regional's old aircraft is koolaid they are drowning you guys on. Thanks, that's a new one I hadn't heard before.

Do you see the theme here? It's all about you Skywest guys trying to make yourselves feel better! Why is that?

When you don't have a credible argument, just discredit the poster based on position rather than content.

I try not to use ad hominem arguments. I rather stay on topic. But you can go ahead and make personal attacks if you want.

Dearest Nevets,

I'm pretty sure if we go all the way back to post #1 in this thread we will both see that I was called out personally. Normally, I could care less about XJT extending some aircraft contracts until SKW can get some E-175s online to replace them. But since the original poster couldn't see the writing on the wall for himself, I thought I would point out the obvious. From there, no one wanted to try and argue the facts, or "stay on topic," and instead it just turned into personal attacks and insults. Mormons (the thread headline is pretty blatant, unless you'd like to argue that), St. George, failed pilot...the works. You call me a failed pilot, I call you a glorified bus driver. Both are incorrect, so big deal. I'm over it, you should be, too. However, every time I throw you a fact, you want to discredit it. You'd make a great polician. Hillary Clinton should be honored to have you as her campaign manager for 2016. I don't need to feel better than you. This group of "failed pilots," 'high school drop-outs,' and Kool-Aid-drinkers are the best in the industry at what they do. I'll defend each and everyone of them. Furthermore, if drinking the Kool-Aid continues to put us at the forefront of the industry then serve me up another glass. Unless you're the lead dog, the view never changes. Enjoy your view.
