It's called career expectations. You can't put a furloughed pilot ahead of an active Captain either.
USAir and AWA could not have been two more difficult lists to merge. The right thing to do was let it go to binding arbitration and the east should have been happy they got a lifeline.
By reneging on the promise to accept the "binding" part of the deal the east pilots greatly diminished their professional standing in the industry. When they started make arguments like the letter writer in the beginning of this they made fools of themselves. Sad deal because, no matter what your leadership (the one's who have been wrong over and over again) says, USAPA is baggage you carry into this merger that you would have been way better served not to have.

Yep.

Funny thing is that everyone on the outside can see it clearly, except the Easties. I have yet to see anyone other than an Eastie that thought their actions had any merit.

When airways get stapled to the bottom of americans list is usapa gonna reform and demand to go back to crap wages until they're dealt with fairly?

Good question!

This character assassinAtion stuff has gone on long enough- the west pilots on here need to read the definition of unity

Unity? You CAN"T spell unity! (Spoken like Jack Nicholson, "You CANT handle the truth!"

Unity begins with and M E or an I. :D

When APA tells the West they will never allow the West Class to ever fly a Wide Body (other than the new orders), will the West still argue for Nic or nothing. :D

Are you really saying you think after years of USAPA literally attacking the west pilots, demeaning them as inferior, and undermining their careers you think it's anything other than pathological arrogance to lecture them on unity? Really?

Is. APA, getting involved with the East/west. Senority ?

I would think APA only cares about getting a list they can use .

APA can't negotiate an SLI until Judge Silver rules.

Without any name calling or accusations ....

When is Silvers ruling expected?
Is it going to be difinitive enough to move forward with SLI?

Personally, it won't help/hurt me, as I have only 1 yr at US.
All I am curious about is when can the biggest adult food fight I've ever experienced be over?!

Thanks & happy holidays all.

When APA supports Single Carrier and tosses USAPA. They won't even need a nifty wooden box to deliver the corrupted voting cards to the NMB

The APA has no intention of stepping into the mess at US Airways. When the pilots at US Airways slide a seniority list across the table, it has to be a legally recognized list for ALL their pilots and not somebody's fantasy.

It's not our fight. It's yours.

Exactly! A internal union process Usapa has complete ownership over. The only legally binding way is to accept the Usapa list- not AOLs lottery ticket!

You're right.
That internal process has already happened 7 f^cking years ago
And it produced the only legally recognizable list

You mean, that flawed seniority list where a 17 year never furloughed pilot was placed next to a new hire? The list produced by a flawed union that no longer exists??? Yeah, keep dreaming about the Nic- the Nic is dead. 98%.

Using legally binding and USAPA in the same sentence is a joke as USAPA doesn't understand what legally binding means
