Why doesn't TPG simply start buying shares at $14 and limit the amount of shares needed to buy at $17 if they feel confident about the deal going down?

Anyways, the stock is way up today, while other airline stocks are getting pounded. Perhaps something unreported yet is going on.

Peter Walsh & Sue Robinson were two federal judges involved. Just a stab in the dark at being right and winning the prize.

it was Samuel Alito (now a member of the Supreme Court).

....American Airlines spokesman John Hotard said the ruling by U.S. Circuit Judge Samuel Alito lifting the stay would allow the sale to be completed Monday afternoon.....

for your effort i will buy the first beer in MCI when we're overnighting. you know i am a cheap date.

I'll take it. Have you ever had a beer at the MCI hotel? That place will hit you harder than the Casino.

Citation,
It's been up to $15.50 IN THE LAST 10 DAYS, so 3.2% drop since you fancy the math lover.

following that logic it was near $17 at one point. you could have bought it at the beginning of the day yesterday and made 6%, that was my point.

and yes, math is soooo sexy.

I always thought Midex hired people too fast. There would be no open time on my plane, yet they'd hire more FO's. Why not wait until guys start complaining about how many hours they were flying or until you have to JA a few times before you hire?
Bottom line, whether they write 6 letters (talk about wasting time, why not write one letter about how important you are and then end it?) or 9 letters the MEC screwed up by not backing the Tranny merger and still can't admit it(not that it would have done any good)(oh yeah and don't forget, the MEC has legitimate personal reasons for blocking there schedules...yea whatever).
Timmy sold the company down the river. 17 Furloughs won't have much of an effect on anything financially (except for those getting chopped right after Christmas).
Last I heard the Airtran deal was dead so why even consider/talk about it. I always thought it would be great, but i thought flying for an airline would be great too. I guess my judgment was lacking.
Good luck to those getting pink slips for Christmas.
Don't expect any help from the mec or the members...but if you ever get recalled you'll get sick of hearing about how much they fought for the junior guys.
