The only "relationship" is that you will do as you're told.
The DR is a one-way check valve.

I don't think we've even discussed the original question in this thread:

How do you have a direct relationship when your pilots don't trust you?

Here's my thought:

The pilots who vote against representation and for the DR don't really care about trust or even expect much in the way of "prosperity" (an oldie but a goody) because they're all afraid of their own shadows.

Absolutely!

As an example, how could I possibly have signed the five docs when I don't trust the company?

How could they possibly argue that I SHOULD have?

It was a tangled mess of lawyerese written by jetblue lawyers.

I have NO advocates.

Did you quit? Or do you mean our company?

Why quit? I've got mine......... Did you look for the DOL's EBSA jetBlue inquiry yet? Facinating case, seems that jetBlue didn't think the law applied to them, after all, they're jetBlue, with pilots too dumb to look out after their own interests, so why not chisel them when the opportunity presents itself? It's the jetBlue way.

I am not defending JetBlue management. I don't need to look it up. I am confident they tried to bend and stretch the law in their favor. Most American corporations do. It is the American way.

In keeping with the American way most pilot groups fight back or atleast stand up for themselves. Not the pathetic JetBlue pilot group. Management say we're going to pay you less an the JetBlue pilots say OK. Management says you will accept less retirement and pay more for insurance and the JetBlue pilots say OK. Management says we will not give you binding scope or provide industry standard control and the JetBlue pilots say OK.
Absolutely pathetic. Leading the race to the bottom.

No argument from me.

Right no one should ever apply at jB agai9n. It would be a slam against the "Brother hood"

Not necessarily however the failure/retrain rate of new hires is an indication of the caliber of applicant.

This message board will not deter pilots from accepting employment with Jetblue however it will make them aware of the reality of working for Jetblue. The topic has been beaten like the proverbial dead horse but still very, very true.

In fact it might excite those pilots working at the bottom of the industry at places like KYIP that JB pilots might be quitting and making opening for them. As bad as you all think JB is, it is heaven compared to on-demand at KYIP. That is why four of our pilots have gone over to JB, none have come back.

Cue the fly because you love it and should be happy to have a job in 3..2..1...

yes yes yes... we should all fly for free because it's so fun and be independently wealthy on the side. Best marry a rich chick or plan on livin with mommy and daddy for awhile.
