I will admit that when I first read the post of SeaJackA88, I amost went to the dark side that 95% of these threads have become. So far we are pretty lucky that only one shmuck has shown up. Lets all just throw him/her on ignore and move on. As this thread gets more activity I think we can expect more of the this type of mindless flame bait. Other than the one who we will call IGNORED, we have a good thread for information and conversation going.
I think that was the original intent of the creator of this site. I don't think much of that original concept is left. This site has taken on the look of a out of control Jerry Springer show. Lets all keep the good stuff going and when we have all received our GO / NO GO decision's we will pass this site on to the next group of poolies.
A final thought for the moderators of this site. I don't envy your duties of trying to keep a bunch of pilot's from acting like (Insert your favorite expletive here). That said, we members can only control the tone of a thread by thinking out our post's intelligently and using the ignore function liberally.It would be a much more pleasant experience if more members would do the first action. You as moderators can help out with the second action by coming down on the chronic trouble makers that are taking over your site.

I had the pleasure of talking with Ms. Verna Kay today as well. It was good news and best of all the local FED EX driver does not need to roll up on my house in his armored Humvee any more. The primary purpose of the call today was the welcome aboard and also served to let us know that they are working on our group. She said that she had six of us who had finished the process so far. Seems like she makes the calls as the finished pack's (backgound checks, and PHC) are sent to her. I was going to wait to post as they are presently finalizing equipment/class dates for us to work from. So at this time I can not report date/equipment. As soon as I receive the rest of the puzzle I will begin to update our "waiting list". How else can we plan on drinks in MCO? Any suggestions?

Anyone have a guess as to how many 'phase II people' are not on these boards; that is any idea how many march 8/9 people made it to pII? I know that there is NO good reason to even care about that - I am just trying to find something to do in the 'deafening silence' in my hotel room in SDF. As the poster-child for adHd I find the patience that I am supposed to be showing .... challenging! d=)

The number showed up as (646) 285-xxxx. Verna called Sun. night at 1730. They sure do keep some hard hours down there. I believe some of the Jan. interview's were assigned class on the dates that you mentioned. Nothing was said about dates or equipment types available to us yet, as they are still evaluating. She said that I would receive more info after they have firmed up what and when they want to do with us. Basically it was a welcome aboard call and also served to ratchet down some of the anxiety. I was going to hold off posting as I don't have all the info yet. Instead decided to post what I had figuring some news is better than no news. So the good news is they are working with our group. Unfortunately I believe she makes the calls as our packs (background chks, and PHC) are finished and sent to her desk. So keep the faith guys, they are working our group and hopefully nothing but good news to follow for all.
I still need recomendations on were we are going for drinks in MCO. The last time I had an adult beverage in MCO it was served to me in a glass which had those damm mouse ears on it and cost probably $15.00. (Damm Mouse).

Driving down in the morning to start class on Wed. Will look-see around and check out the closest. I know we stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn, (ASA) and Hooters was right out the back door!! We are at the Ameri-Suites just around the corner. Great feeling to be heading south!!! Hope to see you guys and gals online soon!!

Most likely you will be staying at the AmeriSuites NE right by the Hooters. There are a lot of restaurants within an easy walking distance. Bennigan's is a close by favorite, and down the road a short drive is the Ale House. Don't worry, you will have plenty of options for grabbing a brew in MCO near the hotel.

Hooters is closest. Next is Bennigan's. TGI Friday's is across the street. The Ale House is about a 20 minute walk, but they have pitchers and a lot on tap.
