Just curious about all the hiring going on at JB. A lot of new aircraft deliveries? Increased flying? Just seems like a lot of new hiring vs not so much expansion/growth. Thx 4 any info.

Taking delivery of 14 airframes in 2013. Started ' 13 with 180 airframes, so approximately 8 % growth. Probably some attrition in there as well.

Probably see JB ramp-up hiring even further when Delta hiring opens up. Expect high-time RJ FOs to be greeted with open arms.

They have to hire to replace the Airbus Captains that leave to take recall at American,United and Delta soon . Destination airline? Not so much. American has much better healthcare and work rules in bankrupcy. United and Delta contracts blow away everything in Jetblues individual contract. The company is now talking about an unlimited 2 way code share. Organic growth was the word du jour during the last few years. Management said we need protections against code sharing 16 months ago and now they say we dont need those protections. They actually told the pilots its good for their growth plans. Profit sharing? None whatsoever! My advice to regional guys is dont waste time with jetblue hold out for a major.

Fact: JetBlue pilots are leaving for other major airlines.

Question: How many pilots from other major airlines are leaving for JetBlue?
