Oh let hope they do not open a Caribbean base. I would hate to be based there...wait-that might be pretty cool

Does anybody know if there are class dates scheduled for the rest of the year and if so how many are already filled with new hires?
Thanks

As far as I know, there are classes every 2 weeks until the end of the year. There's a class starting tomorrow that's full (I've heard 9 in it). They've been calling for the 10/5 class which is supposed to have 12 or 13 in it. I interviewed on 8/25 at 0830 and haven't been called yet.

Over on the other board there have been some guys keeping track and poking around to see what the projected class dates/sizes will be for the rest of the year. Everything is unofficial and subject to change. Here is what we have come up with so far:

Class #18-11
Sept 7
6 E190 (Actual: 6 E190 BOS)
7 A320 (Actual: 6 A320 JFK)

Class #19-11
Sept 21
6 E190
5 A320

Class #20-11
Oct 5
5 E190
5 A320

Class #21-11
Oct 19
6 E190
5 A320

Class #22-11
11 E190
5 A320

Class #23-11
12 E190
15 A320

Class #24-11
10 E190
15 A320

Class #25-11
15 A320

7 more classes for the year, which includes the one starting tomorrow.

Same here. 8/25. Waiting to hear one way
Or another. In Phase 2

From the sounds of it, this new app. window is probably for planned hiring for next year? It seems the classes being filled this year are from previous interviews over the month of August?

Does anyone know if all the morning people from the 8/25 interview have been called for class yet?

I know of two who interviewed that day are starting class today. Congrats on making it to Phase II.

Thanks! I'm still waiting from the 0830 group. I'm just trying to figure out if there's any order to the way they're calling people for classes.

Do they factor in if you're a commuter on them? Seems like everyone I know recently who is going to JetBlue is a Florida commuter on them.

Question about first year

I have an upcoming class date and my wife and I are having a child in February. Does anyone know JetBlue's policy on leave for a birth of a child? I am not expecting a ton of time off, but some idea would help with the planning. Thanks!

FMLA doesn't kick in for 12 months but you can talk with the chief pilot to arrange parental leave.

You should be fine. The chiefs will make sure you have the time off you need. Depending on your class date you should have acquired some PTO (9 hours per month.
Had a similar issue when I was a new hire not a child birth but needed a week off for my wife graduating Medical school, right as I finished IOE. Crew planning gave me 2.5 weeks off after that so I could be home. If they Hadn't the Chiefs assured me that I would be home.

Parental leave policy kicks in after 90 days on property. Up to a year off unpaid. Even if you are not outside the 90 day window I wouldn't sweat it...they will give you time off, that is one of the things they are very good at.

For those starting class and end up getting the-190 , folks will probably get their choice of JFK or BOS after the results of the system bid. Good luck to all.. You will enjoy it here.
