02-03 Falcon Aviation Academy Commercial, Instrument, Multi, CFI, CFII, MEI, $24k, CFI Job with health insurance, 135 pic checkout at no cost.

Got my CFI in 1973, GI Bill paid 90%, cost me about $125, I rented a C-150 for $5.00/hr dual. Paid $275 for my ATP in a Grumman Tiger in 1978. That is all the flight training I have paid for.

Grumman Tiger? You got a SEL ATP? Or did you mean Grumman Cougar?

Few thou..... most of my checkrides were with the feds.... no exam fee!!

p.s. if you haven't flown round motors... then you haven't really flown yet!!

I went to "RIDDLE" cost 100k after that I spent another 70k for right seat time. "At Riddle" we get the best training and "at Riddle" yada yada yada......
J/K I did my training at the local FBO cost 45k instructed there and if I ever have to hear the phrase "well at Riddle....." again I think I'm going to puke. There is always one in ground school

04-06 zero time to MEI around 29-30k for everything. Made about 10k of that back instructing...all at a state university. Not bad considering some of these stories.

Your an old fart.

Remember the days of truging down to the FSDO---no, back then it was called the "GADO"... to do your writtens? I did all my tickets with the Feds or a DE. Private thru CFI, even a SES and A&P all under 15K.

P.S. Got some C-45 and DHC-1 experience. See if the "youngins'" can fugure out what they are without googling them.
