The race to the bottom continues at full speed!
Mickey Mouse operations like Go-Jets are the cancer of this industry, and it is speading fast.
this is unreal, Just remember those POS are still not getting a seat on any plane i fly.
ASA swallows......i am not a mesa or gojet pilot......ex usair express...but ASA does swallow.....PFT?
No we did get a -200 from Pinnacle, it was N528CA. It was Comair then went to Pinnacle then us, getting painted now.If you are talking about this year it was a line (1 a/c) of flying not an actual plane.

Anger over GoJets is really directed at the wrong group. It isn't the GoJet pilots who are responsible for this. It is ALPA and greedy management. But ALPA is a big player that deserves the blame for a lot of this. Hulas Koolaid-nas and his management cronies did try to see if ALPA could come up with something agreeable for the bigger RJs. ALPA, overconfident and flexing their muslces, tried to play a game of hardball and it failed. It also bit them in the a$$. GoJets is actually a by-product of an ALPA failure. And, in one of life's little ironies, became the same place that ALPA sanctioned to send its furloughed pilots from United.
ALPA can be blamed for a lot of things...but the creation of Go-Jet ain't one of them.
Gojet will need to hire 120 pilots very quickly for this new flying. I hope they struggle to find them
Maybe they'll offer jobs to ASA pilots like they did last time we had guys on the street. SH can set that up...
:beer:And so should have your mother
A junior ASA FO may want to strongly consider jumping over there, or to Compass. Both will have the majority of regional growth. ASA upgrade time could hit 10 yrs.
Go to GoJets where they will have the utmost respect of their peers. Good Luck trying to Jumpseat!
Then again ASA has a future so dark you need night vision goggles!
ASA furloughees who went there are probably captains by now.
They probably couldn't give less of a dump what their "peers" think of them when they have their 1000PIC and we're on our 8th year sitting in the right seat doing 4 days over the weekend for min guarantee.
Hey, they might be 767 FOs by the end of next year, but at least we'll have our "dignity"...
Nobody cares that much anymore
That's just it. The only way it's going to make a difference to them is if the next tier airlines don't hire them because of the situation.
