On ground control in ORD tuesday you hear someone with callsign "Gateway". They got out ONE transmission before everyone blocked them by hissing every time they would try to reply to ground. The controller got so pissed that he was saying " Gateway your radio is unreadble, you need to switch radios", We had to jump over to tower so I couldnt enjoy the rest. But for those of you that were involved (not me of course) thanks for providing some humor the other night and continue on it............

I knew I would eventually hear this kind of story!!!! So no one be "surprised" by the actions of the other pilots, they had it coming!!!!:smash:

You would think a little maturity and professionalism would be a requirement to fly an airplane...guess not.

If your idea of funny is blocking transmissions at one of the busiest airports in the world you need to get out more.

Every day this profession gets more and more like a big sandbox.

Proving once and for all that many "professional pilots" are nothing more than angry adolescents.

Anyone doing that kind of crap is unfit to cvommand an aircraft.

You ain't gonna stop Gjts that way, little children.

And I do mean CHIILDREN. I am embarrassed to be in the same profession.

Imagine wahat the public would think of this if they knew this kind of behavior occurred. Our image has taken enough hits already.

Play the game by the rules or get out.

Be careful kids, at a busy place like ORD that could be dangerous.

Agreed, This is a childish and very very dangerous game. Certificates have been suspended for these things. The FCC can track direction by seting up cross section tracking monitors. Very unprofessional to say the least.

As I recall, the Feds went after people doing this when Freedom first started flying. Something about FCC trucks set up around the airport??? I can't rememeber the details.

This has been happening with every airline that the rest of the pilot group dislikes!!! Why are you guys so surprised it's happening:eek: ???? I'm sure you are "Mr. Play by the Rules" and has never done anything to be unprofessional!!!! And if you say no, well than you're a lying sack of $hit!!!!
BTW- I wasn't involved in the hysterics out in ORD!!

I'd rather be a child over being a grumpy, old fart!!!

Well, I for one find it funny. Although I didn't turn in my sense of humor with my commercial ticket. Hopefully it will get them to stop on the B taxiway and then we can hear some real yelling.

I'm not going to go off pontificating like some of the others, but save blocking them for the Ops frequency. Not getting lav service is good enough for me.

You mean rules like a company ignoring a union contract with its employees?

Or the "professional pilots" who do not have a problem being a scab that helps a company browbeat fellow union employees into even crappier wages.

Which rules are you talking about? Only the rules which help you probably.
I am sure all those people were just trying to get on the radio quickly so they can keep their companies on time performance so some scumbag outfit like G0Jets does not come in and steal their flying for $12 an hour and all the peanuts they can eat out of the cart. If everyone does not support TSA in their fight then who is going to come to our aid when management all over realizes that they can continue to sh!t on us and we will smile and ask for more.
Prick!

Sooooo-

A company screwing over the TSA pilots makes it okay to be unprofessional on the radio?

A group of pilots trading close, but not over the 'scab' line makes it okay to be unprofessional on the radio.

If you are going to become 'just as bad' as the people you oppose, how am I supposed to tell the difference between you?

You apparently think all tactics are available to you as long as the other side 'fired the first shot'.

VERY lame rationalization.

If you want to act like achild, do it here on the interenet, where it is SOP. If you are going to represent the profession in public, act like an adult. Don't take your internet personality along with you in the cockpit.

Dork.

That's exactly what we would like the HoJets whores to do. The rules are already established (TSA's CBA), and the HoJets pilots and TSA management are trying to make an end-run around it. Not exactly playing by the rules.
