And if working for peanuts is your litmus test, then focus on Mesa and Trans States. TSA has been flying cheap and taking flying as a result for years.

The pilots of GJ are organizing and negotiating a contract competitive with all the other contract carriers.

Yep, were flying cheap!... bwahahahah...where do you g0jet guys get this from??... I make more than you! I hope you guys are enjoying your 5-Day trips at credit time!! (yep, its true, I know a few flight attendants over there already complaining about how the crews are overworked) Hulas will drag out negotiations and milk that for all its worth. We will have a new contract before you will and we havent even started negotiations yet!! Hulas has you right where he wants you. Why would he just go and offer you more money?? He's got you guys flying for less than he was going to pay us!! Your so blind.

Enjoy the bed you made.

Oh you de-ice ??? Wow, makes me feel so much better...

"DUDE, WE MADE IT TO 410 !!!"
Congratulations, you are the one millionth person to use that phrase on this board. Nice job. Now how many corporate planes crashed last winter because they didn't de-ice? Wonder how many it will take this winter before you all figure it out.

You still didn't answer my question from a previous thread...how much did you make as an FO on that SF34?

Must have missed the question... Most of the time was in the left seat of a 19 seat, corporate SF-340A, with an APU making significantly more than 20K...

What's your point ???

So you never flew for a regional airline? Never flew for less than 25k? Then what the hell are you doing here then? Sorry, I don't buy it.

Can you count flight instructing... ??? ... And yes I flew for less than 25K, but not long enough be be here whining about some other guy making 23K and crying to the world that he's bringing down the industry... Get over it.

I don't fly and never have flown at NJA... You have no clue do you??? 1 yr. instructing, 1 yr. regionals, and Corporate ever since... I've been very lucky...

Whatever, I'm done. You NetJet pilots have no room to talk about being underpaid. I may make a few grand a year less than your FO's, but at least I'm not overly abused for it. The Captains at my airline make just as much or more than yours, and have a much easier job.

Once again, I don't work at NetJets...

In any case, back to the original topic... My point is simply that all pilots cannot be classified by the childish acts of a few. God knows if we classified all corporate or GA pilots by some of the things that have happened in the past you would all be idiots. I am willing to have an open mind that not all corporate pilots are cowboys that don't de-ice or calculate weight and balance, so don't come here "thumping your chest" like all regional pilots are underpaid children who don't know what they are doing. With the exception of the Pinnacle aircraft, how many fatal RJ accidents can you recall in this country in recent years? Exactly.

Geeze Compadres –

To quote the quite thoughtful FurloughedAgain:

“The airline pilot is no longer the respected professional he once was.…….We even foster our own "dumbing down" by the way that we dress and act. We no longer command respect, so it isn't offered (see the backpack thread).

You read this thread from the start and it’s really kinda sad, where things have gone.

I go now.

Most of you numbnuts were probably still in diapers when CAL, EAL and YoNited Scabs were flying. Blocked transmissions were pretty common back then, too. Made for a lot of go-arounds..........

On ground control in ORD tuesday you hear someone with callsign "Gateway". They got out ONE transmission before everyone blocked them by hissing every time they would try to reply to ground. The controller got so pissed that he was saying " Gateway your radio is unreadble, you need to switch radios", We had to jump over to tower so I couldnt enjoy the rest. But for those of you that were involved (not me of course) thanks for providing some humor the other night and continue on it............
just a bunch of dumbasses up there at ORD, i guess....

You "professionals" who do that sort of stuff are going to get some innocent people killed someday. Those of you who egg them on are not much better.

Grow up.

And to the poster who said that blocking transmissions was done during the UAL strike (and others) as one of the biggest scab bashers on the property, I never heard of that tactic being used. Sounds like an urban legend.

I tried to stay out of this but I guess I'll join the fray. As a captain at Trans States I really appreciate all the support from everyone, but as I was reading this thread think we all are missing the point. Even in war there are rules of engagement. For us at Trans States we now filling a petition with the courts for a "single carrier" ruling. We also have ramped up informational picketing and our MEC is willing and ready to meet with management to work out a solution to this problem. To me it seems pretty crazy to risk your certificate or people lives by "blocking" radio transmissions just because we're all pissed at a buch of low life punks. I still haven't figured out how I'm going to handle a Blow Jet pilot trying to jumpseat. We unfortunately have an agreemnet with them. I guess my point is that while I think we all agree these guys are lowlifes, how much are you willing to risk to get your point across. trust me I can't stand these a**holes anymore than you guys, but I feel we don't have to lower ourselves to their level to make them suffer.

You guys really need to get a life and GET LAID!!!!

Nice new screen name Dan. We still know it is you and more importantly everyone in the industry knows who you are. I guess king kong 2 is officially retired? Move on to the next one, Dan.

furthermore, tell the rampers to make sure none of the bags that go on GJ flights make it to thier destination, ,let the lack of customer service <edit> go jets....as a veteran ramper it is easy to make this happen with no "paper trail"

..but as a pilot I would much rather see some g0 jets sellout get his <edit> kicked and humilitated in front of many than two planes coliding and getting people hurt

Just don't let them ride. Jumpseating doesn't equate at all with this radio transmission issue. The radio thing interferes with ATC, your fellow pilots, and the paying passengers. Refusing a jumpseat to a scumbag doesn't do any of that. The jumpseat is a professional courtesy. These guys aren't professionals, so they deserve no courtesy. Period.

The JS agreement that your company has with them isn't really an issue. The jumpseat is always at the Captain's discretion. You alone have the authority over who rides that jumpseat.
